We are a fresh breath of class and style in the Sandhills of North Carolina. Located in Southern Pines, we offer an atmosphere of relaxed elegance and sophistication, where steak is our specialty. We have an extensive wine cellar featuring 3500 bottles, 20 of which we are pouring by the glass. Please join us between 5pm and 6pm to receive $3 off all entrees and steaks.

                                                                                                    Our 2023 Thanksgiving dinner was excellent, but this year not nearly as good. I booked our reservation on November 2; a table for 2. We arrived promptly on time and were directed to the bar as we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated; although we could see vacant tables. Once seated we promptly received water, bread and our appetizers came in a reasonable time. Then we waited 25-40 minutes to get our traditional Thanksgiving turkey entre. My wife's mashed potatoes had no gravy - not a drop. My food had a delicious taste, but was basically room temperature; not nearly as warm as it should have been. When our bill came, the glass of wine I ordered at the table was $9 more than the same glass of wine I had ordered in the bar before we were seated (ie $24 versus $15). I questioned the charge but was told I was undercharged in the bar _ OF COURSE. ! ? I understand that it was a Holiday, but if Southern Prime is going to be open, then they should be prepared to provide the same level of service that they provide any other day. We were disappointed to say the least.

                                                                                                    The flavor of the food was outstanding and the preparation was perfect. I was also surprised how quickly the food came out of the kitchen. I also appreciated that they didn't overlook any detail; case in point...the butter! it was whipped to a consistency that made it so easy to spread and was made with honey that gave it an amazing flavor! I can't believe I'm talking about the butter, but it is that level of detail that made the whole meal just great! I will definitely be back!

                                                                                                    We had reservations for 7pm showed up at 645 and was seated right away. Atmosphere was great. Service was good, food comes out quick which isn’t a bad thing but would enjoyed it a little spread out.. Food was fantastic best steak I have had in a while, highly recommend!

                                                                                                    We had dinner there. Group of three. French onion soup lobster bisque, salmon ribeye, scallops. All excellent. Desserts and coffee. Service was excellent. Will definitely go back and recommend.
