We had a great New Year’s Eve dinner at Spoonbar! Delicious dinner, and though it was five courses, they were a nice size, beautifully prepared, and you could enjoy them, without feeling too full. nice wines, and good music. Highly recommend.

The service was attentive and good, and you could tell the waiters were embarrassed at the lack and quality of the food. I’m grateful for servers that work on holidays so our family can enjoy time out together. We’re a fun lively group and add pizzazz to any space, but they did not have any table decorations or candles, or festive napkins—nada. Just one lone undecorated tree (albeit flocked) next to the buffet. Cocktails and mocktails were good, and the servers were great on refilling water glasses and removing plates and bringing new cutlery. It was pretty pathetic and sad for a Christmas dinner at $95 per person. The nine of us sat at 7:30 pm but the main course food was very disappointing. They ran out of the salmon and the meat at the carving station. The prime rib left was well done, stringy and tough. The horseradish sauce was sour (rancid?)—disappointing because usually that’s a big help for inferior prime rib. The triple cheese mac & cheese was gummy and flavorless. The bolognese pasta dish looked like it had been cooked and sitting from last Christmas. The roasted brussel sprouts were burnt and there was another pan of brussel sprouts that were steamed with no seasoning. They were supposed to have broccolini but alas. The roasted baby potatoes were not pretty (add parsley!) but were tasty. Ciabatta bread was dry/stale and cold with no flavor. Olive oil and balsamic dipping saucers would have helped. Two good points—the salads were tasty and plentiful: beet salad, Caesar salad and a green shaved vegetable salad (good vinaigrette dressing) and the charcuterie board was nice (but no crackers or breads) Then dessert—well, there were a handful of cookies left that tasted like chocolate animal crackers and little pumpkin pie tarts that tasted like the stuff straight from a can. Alas, everything else was gone. So like the movie “The Santa Claus” where everything is gone off the holiday menu… “white milk is fine”. :-(

I always eat out on Christmas Day as I am usually a single diner. I normally don't go in for buffets, but this Cristmas there were very few options, so I decided to take a chance here. The first thing I noticed is that the restaurant was much nicer than was pictured in their post. I've been a cook and know that hot buffets are not easy to maintain without overcooking the food. I was pleasantly surprised; everything was perfect. There was a good selection of food and I was happy with them. The charred Brussles sprouts were especially good and the roast beef was RARE, like I like it. Great service. I am VERY HAPPY with my Christmas Day dinner.

this was a Christmas dinner for two which totaled $214.29. It was a buffet and the food was mediocre at best. The salmon was mushy, the potatoes were overcooked, the Caesar salad dressing was unlike any I've ever had, it was weak and almost tasteless, the deserts were nondescript with the exception f the cream puffs and unbefitting the holiday. all in all the dinner was at best worth less than half of what we had to pay. this is the last time we'll ever dine there.

We realize now that when monitoring the food levels of the hot items, we were really only looking at the amount of food left in the dishes and not how the burners underneath were affecting the quality. We plan on continuing with the holiday buffets and continuing to improve how we do them. We do hear your feedback and hope that you might be wiling to give us another chance sometime.

This was disappointing. We have eaten here at holidays in the past and it felt festive and the food was very special. This time we were unexpectedly at a buffet and the holiday decorations were decidedly sparse. We could have been in Las Vegas! Service was the only high point. Won’t be back.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback, jean! We ended up switching to buffet style at the end of 2023 for family oriented holidays, sorry if this caught you by surprise. If booking online, the buffet was the only option available for that day and if booking over the phone, our employees should have made that clear. As for the decorations, we are an eco friendly hotel and we do not generally have many decorations, especially if they are one time use or easily destroyed. Unfortunately, that means we never dress our tables for holidays and there are very few decorations scattered throughout the restaurant itself. Hopefully, you would be able to give us another chance and join us for one of our tasting menus or even a regular reservation in the restaurant in the future.

Went to the Thanksgiving Buffet food was excellent decided since it was so good I would go for the Christmas buffet was disappointed

Food was hit or miss. Croquettes were good though caviar was bland and lost. Prawns were tasteless and overcooked. Fish was flavorful but pasta lacked salt. Cannoli was the best part. Otherwise most dishes were brown in color so not much excitement there. Long time wait for the dishes to arrive without anybody giving any updates and nobody asked if we want coffee with our desert or after the dinner
