St. Elmo Steak House has been a landmark in downtown Indianapolis since 1902. It is one of the oldest Indiana restaurants in its original location & has earned a national reputation for its excellent steaks, seafood, chops & professional service. Try our famous St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktail followed by a dry-aged USDA Prime Steak. We happily accommodate special requests; please call the restaurant directly. Ottima, veloce il servizio, cibo come sempre di alta qualità e ben impiattato. Siamo tornati qui dopo 2 anni, causa covid.. sempre il top a Indy. Prezzi purtroppo in crescita anche qui

Steak house storica di Indianapolis. Carne buona, non eccellente. Servizio ottimo, ambiente molto carino e curato. Cocktail di gamberi forse estremo, perde di sapore il crostaceo!

Service was indifferent at best . Waiter never introduced himself to us . Did not bring any bread with the soup. Did not ask if we wanted any shrimp When we eventually asked him for the bread it was ice cold. Did not come around mid meal to ask if the food was good . Steaks were good no complaint , but the plates were cold and the mash potatoes were basically ice cold . Dessert was good . Martini was nice but my wife’s glass of red wine was literally a two ounce pour . We have been here many times over the last 23 years . We were shocked at how the standard has slipped . Not sure if we’re going to come again . Pity as it’s been a family tradition to come for our pre Christmas night out . Downtown Indy is a mess right now and u fortunately St Elmo’s did not measure up to its usual excellence .

Everything was top notch!! Our service was amazing 🤩 the food was delicious and the restaurant was decorated for Christmas 🎄 beautifully.

First time here. Had my parents with me. If it’s been around since 1902 then it must be something to try. It was indeed a great experience. Steak was perfect, the service was knowledgeable about the photos decorating the dinning room and the food, and dessert was delicious without being heavy. I would go back for another special occasion. Too pricy for regular visits.

I have never had anything bad at St Elmo's and tonight was no different. The food and service were absolutely amazing. The waitress was wonderful! I had the ribeye with horseradish gorgonzola butter and it was cooked and seasoned to perfection. The only thing that could be slightly different was the room temp. It was very chilly and cold air kept blowing on us (it was na inside room with no outside door, so I think AC was on). However, it did not detract from the amazingness of the experience tonight.
