    Stanley’s has been one of our favorites for years, however the last 2 visits were not up to usual quality. We made two visits within a month and we although we were disappointed with the food on the first visit, we thought maybe it was an off night so we tried again. The first visit we found the appetizer and soup quite delicious, but unfortunately the main dishes seemed flavorless. (Blackened salmon, sake marinated Chilean sea bass, and a ribeye steak). The sea bass was supposed to come with mushrooms and didn’t, when I pointed it out they did bring a dish with about 5 or 6 tiny slices. The steak was ordered at medium and came out under, twice. On our second visit we loved the soup again, lobster bisque and clam chowder, but the mains were bland and lacked even the most basic salt as a seasoning. We tried the blood orange lacquered Ora king salmon (seems only the edge of the plate was actually lacquered in a decorative swirl), grilled mahi mahi, and seafood linguine. Service was wonderful, we enjoy the ambience, but sadly the food flavor was just not there.

    Everything was great, the atmosphere, staff, and food; however, I ordered the prime rib, med rare, it came out mostly med well. I didn't send it back because I know they can run out. But, I was not notified that the med rare was gone. It did have a good flavor.

    Ran out of ribeye steaks at 6:30pm. Manager was not friendly or helpful.

    I have gone here for many years. It really is not as good as it used to be years ago. I keep going giving it the benefit of the doubt every time because I love this place and its location with the view. But the food is just not very good. Last time I went in October the prime rib was adequate but not good and the creme brulee was not quite set. But I still decided to go there for Thanksgiving this year as I have gone in the past on this occasion. They were out of things in my salad and did not inform me just sat a salad in front of me to eat I guess hoping I would not notice or care but I did notice and I did care. My shrimp were over cooked and my steak was kind of a mushy consistency. But I said nothing about the steak and shrimp. Then I ordered desert. Of course I ordered creme brulee (because it is a staple there and one of the main reasons I come there) and they were out. I definitely let her know then that I was unhappy. She made excuses of how busy they were that day. I was not compensated in anyway, It was like we are running out so deal with it. I have decided I will not be going back again. It is just not worth it

    We decided to try Stanley & Seafort’s Thanksgiving dinner and despite the massive amount of people continually coming in the staff handled it in stride. The friendly smiles, positive attitudes despite the chaos around them was truly remarkable. Our waiter Doug was outstanding always ensuring our drinks were full and if we needed anything. Our only issue would be the prime rib and beef tenderloin a few of us ordered was more blue rare than medium rare, requiring us to send it back for additional cooking. The pork chop and crab stuffed mahi-mahi were perfectly cooked and full of flavor.

    Went for Thanksgiving dinner, 11-28-24. Service was great and very hospitable. Our waiter, Corey was excellent Understand that the night was very busy but took longer than it should have to receive food and it was only like warm. They could have done better. Willing to give them another try but just wouldn’t book a holiday sitting.

    Went for the 3 course Thanksgiving dinner. Food was great and their creme brulee was magnificent! Great service and friendly staff! Glad I found this place!

    For our 10 year Anniversary this was a wonderful experience service from start to end from greeting us to sending us off spectacular views of Tacoma, Wa the food was mouth melting thank you again.

    Normally I really enjoy SS but we were seated at a table that had loud people which isn’t really the restaurant’s fault. But they were out of bread and the portions looked so much different from our time before. The old fashion had so much ice in it that it watered down the drink. The only positive was the waitress was attentive and nice.

    Our experience was fabulous. From the greeting by the hostesses to the comfortable seating, outstanding service, and DELICIOUS food. I cannot think of a single thing I would have wanted to be different. Parking is plentiful and the view is awesome. Our server was great - attentive, but not hovering. My steak was probably the best I’ve ever had - cooked perfectly.
