Come to Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar, an eatery established by the couple who created hits such as “Ain't No Mountain High Enough" & "Ain't Nothing Like The Real Thing." Their culinary venture, Sugar Bar showcases the duo's love for great music and Southern-accented dining. The Food: A little Cajun, a little soul, a little Latin, a lot of delicious! Offering meals. prepared with fresh ingredients giving you the warmth of a homemade cooked dish. The Music: Live Entertainment starts at 8 pm.                                                                                         Great experience! Food is always delicious with lot's of choices. We visit the Sugar Bar whenever we are in New York City. This visit, we were able to enjoy the excellent vibes from singer and guitarist, Jason Murden. He was eclectic!

                                                                                        The Sugar Bar has a wonderful and open ambience. From the moment you walk in, to the moment you leave, they are attentive to your needs, efficient without pompousness, and simply warm and welcoming. The food is excellent, and they are willing to accommodate some special requests, like leaving off the salt in cooking fish, for someone on a low-salt diet. The decor is both beautiful and fascinating and warrants attention. Bravo, Sugar Bar. One of my favorite eating spots in New York!

                                                                                        I went to open mic night at the Sugar Bar. It was one of the best experiences that I’ve had. The entertainment was superb. The food was delicious. Whenever in NYC I will come back to the Sugar Bar. You never know who you’ll see there!

                                                                                        We (my family and friends and I) all love this restaurant...! The Sugar Bar--AKA Ashford & Simpson's Sugar Bar Restaurant always gets from us 5 stars!!! The food is always excellent and the service especially pleasant and friendly (even when the restaurant gets crowded). We are delighted by their SUNDAY BRUNCH--always a deal, and terrific food! My catfish (blackened or fried) is EXCELLENT with grits; my companions at breakfast usually have the waffles (or pancakes) and eggs, and bacon/sausage. At Brunch the $25 deal includes an alcoholic beverage (such as a Mimosa) or--for me, a teetotaler-an OJ. ONE drawback--no toast comes with Brunch but at least THIS time each of us got our own slice of sweet and delicious cornbread! Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!, as Johnny Mathis used to sing. Same goes for the oddly named "Sugar Bar." All-around WONDERFUL dining experience on 72nd Street--midtown. Mickey Michaels
