The Captain’s Room in Tarpon Bay offers a highly sought after, semi private dining experience. Guests holding the 5:30 PM reservation will have access to the table until 7:30 PM, at which point it will be prepared for the 8:00 PM seating. For guests wishing to enjoy the Captain’s Table for the entire evening, a minimum F&B expenditure of $1,000, exclusive of tax and gratuity, is required. This secures exclusive access to the table for the duration of the evening, with reservation times to be determined by the guest. Please call the restaurant if you would like to reserve the table for the entire evening. An automatic gratuity of 20% will be added to each check.

We used to love coming here and getting the best food. Not anymore. The whole fish was overdone, overpriced and bland. The coleslaw concoction on the plate is also bad. There was so much of it I had to move it to the bread basket. The service was with a smile but soooooo slow. My husband had the sea bass which was excellent. The temperature in the restaurant was so cold it was warmer outside and we had a cold front that night.

We returned to one of my favorite places. The food was excellent. We had great oysters to start. It’s one of the only places around. You can find Kumo Moto oysters. The snapper Diablo my favorite was awesome. We also enjoyed the flight in the lemon Parmesan crusted salmon. Service was great as usual. It was another nice night out at Tarpon Bay. Highly recommend.

Excellent food (the best in Estero). Unfortunately, a large party were seated (half way through our meal) across from our table. They became increasingly loud and rude - I did ask them to consider other diners which helped slightly. Couples should be seated away from large groups. It soured what was up until then, a very nice experience.

Fabulous entree choices and appetizers. It was a seafood feast for the four of us. Great wine choices too. Peggy was soooo accommodating for us and we thank her again. Sat on the patio area overlooking the water pond and saw some of the sunset. ❤️

Total disappointment. Had lobster that was cool and rubbery although plate was extremely hot. Filet cool with hollandais that had a film because it was cold. Cancelled all future reservations for fear of another bad meal.

We LIKE Tarpon Bay, and truly appreciated the talents that created the picture and taste-bud perfect salmon ceviche and excellent golden Beet and goat cheese Salad. The Chocolate Lava Cake was perfection. Our maain entree however, the black cod on a bed of polenta with grilled bok choy did not live up to our expectations.

Great meal. Beautiful renovations. The calamari was an excellent appetizer. Our service could not have been better. Nice choice of wines.

Food is outstanding. The best place we have found for fish hands down. Love music in bar was very loud but we were seated far enough away that it didn’t bother us too much.
