   Went for Easter Dinner and it didn’t disappoint. Service was great and the food was very tasty. One of the best experiences that we have had eating at The Inn.

   As usual the food and wait staff were outstanding. The lame shank was delicious and well presented. More than we could eat.

   Sadly, the previous upscale reputation of the restaurant has drastically deteriorated. Service was awful, irregular, slow with many mistakes in serving the food that was ordered! We ordered a $170. bottle of champagne that was opened away from our table at the bar!! I was not impressed and didn’t see that the bottle was sealed??? I will not recommend this restaurant to anyone and we live in area😠

   The food was of very good quality, but our entrees arrived 1 hour and 45 minutes after we were seated, which was unacceptable. The kitchen appeared to be the culprit, but the service was slightly chaotic as well, with one other table leaving after one entree arrived cold and late. Really unfortunate that the kitchen couldn’t seem to support the lovely small Terrace Room and outdoor seating. I’m not sure I would come back again.

   We enjoyed a lovely Easter Afternoon Tea at the Terrace Room. I've had afternoon tea at several places prior to this and I have to say, this was one of my favorites! Several of the treats were Easter themed (a bunny shaped cream puff, carrot cake, an egg-shaped sugar cookie, etc.) and everything was delicious! My one little nit was that we felt slightly rushed. I think there was another seating after ours, so we only had an hour. We weren't asked to leave or hurry, but you could tell they wanted to start preparing for the next group. It would have been nice to linger a bit longer. But overall, great experience. And the staff were great too!

   Our server, Janell, was phenomenal! She was friendly and helpful. Our entrees were fine, but our drinks and charcuterie board were out of this world. The price makes it hard for us to justify going back anytime soon, but we definitely would for a special occasion.

   The Terrace Room at the Williamsburg Inn continues its tradition for old world elegance. The first view is the long flower festooned drive and water feature leading to the entrance. Next you are welcomed at the formal entrance into the elegant lobby. Several of us were there to celebrate our birthdays. It was a price fixed brunch consisting of three courses. The bar tender offered traditional drinks as well as some specialty cocktails. All prepared with great skill. The food was delicious. Wd were served an avocado mousse amuse bouche. The clam chowder was tasty including bite sized clam and scallop pieces. It was slightly thinner than the traditional version. The other options included Johnny cakes or fruit plate. The fruit was fresh and included tasty untypical options. The entree choices included chicken and waffles, eggs Benedict over crab cakes, beef tenderloin with eggs and several other choices. Dessert was presented as a platter of options from cookies, ice cream, cobbler, chess pie and almond pastry. There was a uniquely decorated plate for the birthday gal with chocolate cover strawberry macaroons and bonbons. The ambience included live acoustic guitar player. Service, beverage and food were all excellent. A favorite location for visitors and locals.

    Had to wait for over an hour for meal. Delivered only after complaining to staff twice. We were not the only table to experience this. Our meal was comped but did not help in the aggravation of the long wait.
