The Asbury restaurant, nestled in the lobby of the city’s only historic boutique hotel, is named in honor of Louis Asbury, Sr. In 1929, the Charlotte architect designed what is now The Dunhill Hotel. Today, our modern Southern restaurant honors the past, celebrates the seasons, and looks forward. Open seven days a week and serving the longest weekend brunch in Charlotte.

    This was not a good dining experience. We went before seeing Hamilton for a special menu. From not being greeting when walking in the experience was not good. The service was very poor and food did not meet expectations. We had to send back salmon that was raw in the middle, were told they ran out of ice cream (part of the pre set menu), then only received ice cream and not the dessert we chose. The table next to us had the same experience. Never once did a manager come to check on us or apologize. I would not recommend this place.

    We ordered the Hamilton dinner experience. The appetizers were fine. For the main course we had the chicken parm and the pot roast. There only 5 small pieces of meat in the roast. Then we were told they didn't have brownies or cheesecake. Most of my party didn't want the peach cobbler so they offered us a strawberry cake, which we didn't care for. Then a woman named Nikki came by asked how we were doing. When we told her about our lack of dessert she went to the kitchen and found 3 brownies. Thankfully! For this being a special event it seemed very poorly planned.

    Our server Nikki was amazing but the chicken parm pasta was cold and bland. Not worth the $40 price for a themed Hamilton meal.

    the service was great, but the food was not. I got chicken parm and the chicken was way overcooked. My friend also got chicken parm and had the same problem. It was fried so much you couldn't even eat the edges of the chicken.

    I’m not sure how to rate the experience, it wasn’t at all what I expected. We came for dinner before seeing Hamilton and my 12 year old was really excited about the specialty 3 course menu. We had reservations and there was a table ready for us however it wobbled, a lot. So that was a little off putting. We waited about 10 minutes before the server ever came to get our drink & food order (she said she would take all 3 options at one time). Not terrible, but not great either. I think they were short staffed because the hostess, not server, brought our drinks once they were available and she handled our 1 refill. Anyway the server took our order and advised “we don’t have any ice cream” 2 of the dessert options were served with ice cream. My kid was disappointed, but we pivoted. Once the appetizers came, the Brussel sprouts were cold and the deviled eggs lack luster. The crab meat atop the eggs was a brown color and tiny, like 1/2 teaspoon worth of crab meat. Again not the end of the world, but it took another 20 minutes or so to get our entrees, chicken Parmesan. Our reservation was at 5:45 and it was 6:35 before we got our meal. I asked for the dessert and check while we were still eating to ensure we didn’t miss the 7pm show. I’m not sure where the breakdown was, with the kitchen or with the waitstaff but it wasn’t the best experience and we’re not inclined to return. It is a convenient restaurant to the theater though.

    Everything was excellent. Service was incredible and all staff were super friendly. Highly recommend.

    Very efficient menu and staff. Mandy was great! Convenient to Blumenthal Theater. I love having free parking. Yes, we will visit again whether going to the theater or not.

    Pleasant atmosphere, excellent service. Only change was spaghetti pasta instead of angelhair pasta. Food was good.

    We came for the special offer for viewing Hamilton at Blumenthal. It was great! Food excellent as well as the service and parking validated so free parking for the show! Great experience! Hope you do this again for other theatre experiences! Thank you!

    Nice staff, pleasant ambiance. The jalapeño potato cake was too salty to enjoy. Cajun shrimp with poached eggs was very good. Waffles and chicken was ok, waffles were pretty soft without a crispy exterior. Not one herbal tea in the box, only caffeinated teas.
