Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.     Service by Melissa was outstanding. My only quibble was the nutmeg in the creamed spinach. Most ppl hate nutmeg

    I have been to this location several times and I am pleased to report they are consistently outstanding in terms of food, service and providing a great overall dining experience. Dinners have been great, but today I enjoyed the lunch menu. Our server was Susie and she did a great job! I’ll add that in my numerous visits a number of other servers provided outstanding service. Servers are attentive and also do a great job of supporting each other and acting as a customer service ‘team.’ From the hostess to the Manager, the kitchen staff and the servers, you’ll find a commitment to excellence at the Capital Grille ~ Sarasota.

    Originally had a reservation for 6 @715 I called about an hour prior as our group was now 7 & we could come in a bit earlier for 645p they asked to put me on hold that was over 5mins then came back & said they could accommodate. We arrived on time the host stand seemed disorganized with only one person ahead of us then took awhile to be noticed/greeted (which is a typical) service/food was good but seemed "off" they forgot to add the Kona rub to my steak & took it back to season (it came back but didn't taste nearly as flavorful as if it was cooked with it.. a bit disappointing for a $650 dinner 🍽️

    Capital Grill is always one of the top restaurants in Sarasota. We have eaten at the new additions to fine dining, and while they are also excellent, the overall top score remains with Capital Grill. From the phone call to secure a reservation until the last goodbye, leaving at the end of the night, it was a first-class job. Even MORE impressive, this was Jan 1, 2025, so everyone working had to be dragging from New Year, but they did not miss a beat. Laura, from the "hello" to Oscar starting the night, good job, and you are all appreciated.

    Great way to celebrate the new year. Awesome food! The double lamb chops were amazing and the rib eye with porcini was very tasty. Tuna tartar was a great appetizer to share.
