Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required.     Great lunch today! I had the lobster and scallops with risotto. Although when I read the menu I thought it was lobster tail and scallops. I don't like risotto so I pushed it aside. Everything elements was great !

    The food was wonderful and worth the value. The wine list by the glass was limited, as there were no Merlot wines. However I found a good Cab that I enjoyed. The service was extremely slow between courses. This is why they did not receive more stars.

    Went on Christmas Eve and the place was packed. Service was great and food was delicious. Started out with a blue cheese wedge and French onion soup. 10oz filet for meal and had it “Kona rubbed” makes it so flavorful!! Cream Corn, scalloped potatoes were the side dishes. Everything tasted amazing!

    This year, for the first time, I decided to skip the cooking and cleaning on Christmas Eve and take my family out to dinner. We chose The Capital Grille, and it exceeded every expectation! From the moment we walked in, the restaurant’s elegant and classic steakhouse ambiance set the tone for a special evening. Our waitress, Cat, made us feel completely at home—her warm and attentive service added such a personal touch to our experience. We started with wine and cocktails, which were perfectly balanced, and the calamari was simply delicious. The freshly baked bread was a hit, too! For our entrées, we ordered filet mignon, the Kona crusted strip, truffle fries, mashed potatoes, and mushrooms. My husband and I dine out fairly often, and we agreed the steak was exceptional—cooked to perfection with incredible flavor. My in-laws, who don’t go out to eat often, said it was the best steak they’ve ever had! This was such a treat for our family, and we can’t wait to go back. Thank you, Capital Grille, for making our Christmas Eve truly memorable!

    We ALWAYS have a great meal and great service. Matt was EXCELLENT! The prices have become ridiculous in these type of restaurants in Tampa. $500 for a family of 4, which didn’t include a bottle of wine! That said, the only downfall to this restaurant is that it’s located in a mall and has NO DRESS CODE! It takes the great ambience and beautiful decor and makes you feel like you’re in a diner. There was a guy at the table next to me wearing shorts and a t-shirt that he apparently slept in. If you want to charge that much for a meal, at least enforce some type of dress code. Even with the ridiculous prices and letting under dressed people in, we’ll definitely be back!

    Our experience was outstanding! It was our first time dining there and it was for our 45th wedding anniversary. They weren’t aware in advance that we were celebrating but when I mentioned it to our waiter he went above and beyond to make it very special!
