The Captain Digby, a family friendly restaurant and bar which caters for all ages & occasions, with sea views overlooking Kingsgate Bay. We serve generously portioned fresh, home cooked food from our bar, restaurant & children's menu. Food is served from 12 noon each day, all day until late check our operating hours before arrival.
Choose from our family dining area, close to our indoor play area or our cliff top restaurant with sea views.
Alfresco dining is available with 40 benches overlooking the bay but these are non-reservable and work on a first come first served basis. Please note we can not guarantee window tables. We do not allow dogs inside our venue but they are welcome in our outside dining areas. Being so close to the shoreline we tend to have issues regarding internet connections and advise all customers also bring cash as an alternative payment.

Lovely meal served by professional, friendly and attentive staff. As always a first class experience - especially the Splice the Mainbrace dessert 😉 Thoroughly recommended 5*****

Manager very considerate to move us to a more suitable table as they were expecting more families because it was Easter Sunday. We hadn’t even asked…. Service excellent.

I have eaten here on many occasions and always enjoyed the experience. When the weather permits, it’s nice to sit outside too. There is a good menu, lovely attentive staff, and a good atmosphere.

Such a fun place to eat with children - the soft play area is lots of fun and means you get to enjoy a longer meal together. Huge portions!
