We ordered filet mignons medium well and they came out very red & rare. We sent them back and ate our sides, and had to ask to check on our steaks. So, we started eating the sides alone. When the steaks returned, they were still very rare. With the wait, our sides got cold. Someone came by the table, we thought she was the manager. We showed her the steaks, which she offered to return to the grill but after 2 times, and sending it out still rare, we just said we will take it home and cook it there. At $51 for an ala carte steak, you shouldn’t have to send it back twice. Flavors were good & the bread basket was good. The waiter offered us a dessert to try to make up for it. We shared one dessert and my husband had coffee, and the waiter comped that. Having grown-up in the family restaurant biz, we made it right - or took it off the bill. Had they at least removed one steak, that would have sat better with us to go back in the future and give it another try. I baked the steaks in foil to the right temp at home.) An expensive meal that we don’t do all the time and expected it to be much better.

Although we've dined at Charcoal Room on numerous occasions, last night's experience left a lot to be desired. One of the entrées we ordered was salmon because of how tempting it looked at the table next to us. Well...ours came out and it was the thin tail end no more than 4oz. The chopped salad was drowning in a horribly sweet dressing (which is not the usual). Service was marginal. Our "order-taker" was as pleasant as he can be, but the food came flying in from various other staff. I was the only one not drinking except water, and never had my glass refilled. The alcohol we had to ask for over and over. Poor, poor service. You guys can do better.

Every aspect was great. Petite filet was awesome and the service was impeccable. Bring back button mushrooms as a side please.

Another great dinner at the Charcoal Room. Lobster was fantastic so was the porterhouse steak. Cocktails are awesome. Can't wait to go back.

The service was excellent but if you’re looking for a romantic evening it’s not the place to go. It’s very loud because the restaurant is attached to a bar with TVs. Yes, you can sit in the back of the restaurant if you request that but it’s still very loud. Overall everything was very good.
