   Excellent food and very nice ambiance. Great great full Brill and coliflower, great gnocchis but too spicy.

   Great food, but the experience was let down by the service from our waiter who seemed to want to be somewhere else and who we had to remind what we had ordered.

   We wanted a classic English Sunday roast, and Chequers fulfilled our wishes. A very full plate that included duck-fat roasted potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, carrots, greens and lamb (or pork belly or beef). They also offer a vegetarian option. The restaurant was full of local residents out for a Sunday afternoon meal with their families.

   The food and service were excellent but my husband was disappointed that there were no draft real ales available. They gave me a birthday card which was a nice touch. I can recommend the fresh fish, I had John dory and my brother in law had mackeral, both of which were delicious and perfectly cooked.

   Incredible food using great ingredients. Really refined twists on classic dishes. Lovely service

   Great food served with a smile in a great pub! Perfect Sunday lunch - probably the best ever.

   The Sunday roast - advertised as the best in Bath certainly didn’t live up to the hype. I had the beef which was cooked med rare. The meal was just okay with an over cooked and stale Yorkshire pudding These could be seen in the kitchen piled up in tray having obviously been cooked some time before and not even warm. A mediocre experience at best aside from the desert special which was very good.

    Absolutely amazing food for excellent value. Service was rapid, recommendations were on point and the food was outstanding. Would highly recommend to all!
