Featuring local "farm to table" cuisine using a breadth of farmers in the Missouri and Illinois communities. When asked to define of The Crossing, Owner/Executive Chef Jim Fiala often says that he is a chef that buys locally whenever possible and cooks as any French and/or Italian chef would given the ingredients sourced. Joining Jim is Chef Thu Rein Oo who brings passion and years of experience to the kitchen. Our food is fresh, organic (whenever possible), seasonal and by design very simple. The Crossing stays true to classic techniques and the chefs love showing off their skills and passion for elegant food.

    We love this restaurant. Quality is top shelf and service very attentive without being noticed and setting is relaxing. Give it a try if you haven’t.

    From the time we walked in and the hostess took our coats, we were met with kind and welcoming energy. It was our 1 year anniversary and they even had a printed out card, hand written on the envelope “happy 1st year Elise and Anthony” with a personalized message on the inside. I was blown away by the personal touch and attention to detail. Me and my boyfriend both did the grand tasting menus. I’m vegan and gluten free and that wasn’t only no problem for the chef, Chris, but it seemed to be a pleasure and even exciting for him to create a special grand tasting just for me. The food was thoughtfully put together and came together like a beautiful story, carefully crafted from beginning to end. Joshua was the best server ever! He paired the most amazing wines for us that fit perfectly with each course. He was genuinely excited to tell us all about each course and wine and it made the experience particularly special. We had the pleasure of making connections with many of the staff members including Jim, the owner. We felt like VIP the entire night and couldn’t have been more pleased with the service and genuine kindness of the staff. We were especially pleased at the end of our meal when Chef Chris came out to say hello. What a perfect evening. Highly recommend for romantic nights and anniversaries. They will make your evening a night you won’t forget!

    Excellent - our 5th time and better than ever. The Premium Tasting menu is a great choice. Our waiter Sunny made excellent recommendations. Sunny and the rest of the staff took care of our every need throughout the dinner.

    Every bit of the experience was first class! Service impeccable, shout out to Josh! Food remarkable and ambience was superb!

    The crossing is one of my few favorite places in saint Louis, last Friday my husband and I had reservations there, unfortunately I was confused about the time I thought 6:30pm but it was actually 6 pm so we were late, on our way the restaurant called at 6:19 pm, they were so nice they apologized for my mistake when I insisted my reservation was 6:30pm. The food as usual was phenomenal, the service was outstanding our server name was Josh and he was fun, knowledgeable and expert with Wine, he added so much beauty to the evening! Thanks to the Crossing for that beautiful elegant evening:)

    Having dined several times a year at The Crossing since the doors opened in 1998, we know it is where the quality of food and service is consistently outstanding. The food last night and the wine pairings were out of this world!

    My husband and I LOVE this restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and the presentation is perfect. The Crossing never disappoints and one of the best restaurants in St. Louis.
