Welcome to The Crown at Burchetts Green.

My aim has always been to offer beautiful food in an authentic English pub. Dishes that are heart-warming, seasonal, and packed with flavor. All I wanted was for our guests to return home happy and contented! This aim established our reputation and remains firmly in place today.

At The Crown, our hospitality will be based on exactly these principles - seasoned, I hope, with a pinch of added ambition in the kitchen. And on the floor front-of-house, you will be greeted and looked after by Amber Flint and her team.
We look forward to welcoming you and cooking for you very soon.

We’d been recommended The Crown but were generally underwhelmed by the cooking. While the venison was good, the steak was not and one starter was bordering on unpleasant while the other was under seasoned. Sadly, could not recommend. That said, the restaurant was full so maybe it was the style of cooking that just did not suit us. Would give the uninspiring cheese board a miss though for sure…

We always have great food at the Crown. Last night the salmon, the steak and the venison were cooked to perfection. We also enjoyed the baked Alaska and the orange Seville pudding. It is one of our favourite restaurants where you literally love everything on the menu.

First lunch time visit to this country restaurant. Easy to find and lots of parking on site We had a table on the narrow window side which has lots of light and well separated. Only for tables of 2 though. Lunch time has a good value menu of 2/3 course. We had one of these with cheese tart, on a super base and well garnished; then mussels with chips , both simple and very tasty , fishing with a very light orange pudding. My companion went all out for the wild rabbit lasagne ( loads of rabbit) and venison which was sublime. Also had the rhubarb pudding off the lunch menu. Tip - avoid the tap water which is smells of chorine!

Great experience the menu was interesting and the food full of flavour and with reasonable pricing on the fixed price menu. A GREAT find.

Another wonderful lunch at The Crown, with great choices on the Village Menu. The vegetarian options were both outstanding, especially the delicious and beautiful mushroom and onion tarte tatin. The petit fours were gorgeous too. Friendly, always a warm welcome and consistently superb food. We are very lucky to have this in walking distance from our house.

We attended the Thai Supper night which is operated by a separate Thai chef. Most of the food was very good with the exception of the tuna dish which was far too spicy. Great service.
