I was very disappointed with the food the steak was cold, it cost a lot of money and it was a poor show. The Dungeon was cold, the waiter gave us a small cheap heater but it did not help..This was a reunion of 3 nurses myself and my friend came over to Ireland to meet the third nurse, we had trained together 40ys ago so, we wanted it to be special but for 300 eur it was pretty awful

Great decor, medieval castle feel. Steak was cooked perfectly and great service. Wine was lovely however expensive for what it was but that is too be expected in a hotel like this. Great staff, super friendly.

The menu was really, really unimaginative and bland. It was just disappointing because everything else in the castle had been fabulous. We would definitely stay in the castle again but we wouldn't use the Dungeon restaurant. It was the only negative to our whole experience. They also only play traditional Irish music in the Dungeon which was a little grating.

Hi, The staff were very friendly and very attentive. The decor not so good. It appears like a "knights tale" / castle themed diner. Also there was no fireplace lit and it's was chilly in temp. Candles would improve. The food was ok. I've had better steaks elsewhere for much less. There was also very few vegatarian or dairy free / gluten free options. The desert was ordered but took an age to arrive. I was not charged for it so again the service, excellent. Sorry but I want overly impressed by ambiance, food or value.
