Influenced by its location in the elegant Normandy Farm Hotel, The Farmer's Daughter is the culinary cornerstone of this historic property & offers an unforgettable dining experience with an exceptional menu of Chef Mtele "Abu" Abubakar`s "Modern Farm Cooking". At The Farmer's Daughter, heirloom and locally sourced ingredients are brought to life on the plate in the form of pure flavors and innovative dishes inspired by the seasons and harvests of our surrounding region. Another good dinner at The Farmer’s Daughter. We eat here about every 2 months but usually sit at the bar. This time we ate in the dinning room which is a very nice atmosphere. Great service. Good cocktails. Menu is not enormous but enough choices. Food was good. It was a birthday dinner and the restaurant even provided a dessert for free, which was a nice touch.

Service was slow and food was even slower. We’ll pass going forward. This was our second d time visiting and same experience both times with the service and long amount of time for food to come out.

I wanted to go to a special place for a family member's 80th birthday. The Farmer's Daughter looked like it fit the bill. We went on 12/11 so the place was decorated for the holidays. It was beautiful. The five of use were seated at a round table, which I love, because it easier to talk, but the noise level was so high, that we had to practically scream to have a conversation. Our waitress was friendly and helpful and we ordered drinks and our dinner. Then we waited and waited and waited. She came over once to ask us if we wanted another drink but no update on the meal. Finally after waiting 1-1/2 hrs, we called her over and asked what was going on. The manager came over and said there was a mix up and she would comp dessert. Dinner came after another 1/2 hr. Three of us had salmon, which was mediocre (and I'm being generous). One had crab cakes, which she said were very good. One had the filet, which he said was okay. They brought out a small birthday cake, which we all tasted and after one bite, agreed that it was stale. We never ordered the comped desserts because we just wanted to leave. All in all, it was a disappointing experience and I won't go back there again.
