Welcome to Freemasons at Wiswell, where fabulous food is served in an elegant and relaxed rural setting. The inn is located in the 'chocolate box' village of Wiswell, near Clitheroe, in the picturesque Ribble Valley.
Since our transformation and reopening in the summer of 2009, we have created a loyal clientele and a genuine home-from-home atmosphere. Flag stone floors, walls in muted heritage colours, antique rugs and furniture, period paintings and prints all unite to create a stylish and comfortable setting. Our bar has an excellent selection of traditional cask conditioned ales from award-winning independent breweries and is complemented by a superb cellar with over 250 wines from around the world.
While the surroundings and welcome are inviting, the main reason to visit is, of course, our food.

    Excellent food, at very good value for this standard. Tasting menu was superb, as were the accompanying wines, also very good value, so book a Taxi!…. Andrew makes the place buzz and has a superbly friendly, front of house style…..we’ll be back👍👍

    The Freemasons at Wiswell is an outstanding experience. The location, ambience, service, quality & presentation of food, not forgetting value is second to none. What is unique and commendable about the Freemasons, is that despite it providing the most incredible and delicious food, certainly within the region, it does so in the most relaxed, enjoyable, yet professional manner. It is, without doubt, the perfect dining experience. I cannot recommend the Freemasons highly enough. Try it... you will not be disappointed!

    Outstanding food and service we had the most enjoyable time dining as a family. We felt so welcome by Andrew and the staff, the Children loved it just as much too. Food was incredible we cant wait to return

    1st time at the Freemasons. From the minute we arrived we received a warm welcome and we were seated as requested on our booking for a romantic secluded spot. We had an entire room to ourselves !! Staff were great Food amazing Can’t wait to go back.

    It’s a beautiful spot - comfy seating & a delightfully relaxed atmosphere. The food was fabulous. Also the staff waiting on, were very professional & charming. Where we felt let down was firstly on arrival when we were shown to our table but were not offered a drink or water nor did we have the menu explained so we were left a bit bemused. And finally at the end of a lovely lunch we were again left hanging. We just wanted to have the bill & go but it took ages to get anyone’s attention.

    Had the fixed price lunch. Food was fantastic and the service was lovely. Really friendly and professional. Great experience, thank you.

    Wonderful food, fantastic service (most notably from Andrew) and a beautiful interior. The atmosphere was convivial and managed to portray a premium and elegant atmosphere whilst still being warm and friendly.
