The Gruene Door Restaurant is located in beautiful Gruene Lake Village in New Braunfels, Texas. We are Gruene’s only casual, fine dining restaurant combining the best in food, service, and atmosphere. Every menu item is prepared 100% in house by our chefs.

Open for lunch and dinner, we are the perfect destination for a romantic dinner, birthday celebration, private party, lunch with friends, or just a casual night out.

When booking the patio, please mind the weather. If the indoor restaurant is fully booked, we may not be able to accommodate a request to move indoors.

My only complaint is that you should not run out of martini glasses on a Friday night at 6:30 pm Literally my favorite restaurant in south Texas. Owner needs to buy more Martini glasses

                                                                                        Always a favorite place for us. (We live down the street!). Last night we brought guests that just moved here. They were "wowed", as I knew they would be. Everything was perfect :-)

                                                                                        Very disappointing. Service was sub par. My tuna was too salty and I could not eat it. Lamb chops were only ok. The only good thing was the shrimp gratin appetizer.

                                                                                        Great lunch! The salmon with polenta and flash fried spinach was amazing. The spinach melts in your mouth! The Ahi Tuna salad was also delicious. Cooked perfectly and nice assortment of veggies in a light dressing. One of us had the cob salad and loved the textures and flavor.
