This was the first time we had been to the Herb Box Our server was wonderful. The ambience was amazing. We sat outside, it was a beautiful day. Unfortunately we were very disappointed in the food especially after reading all of the wonderful reviews. Maybe it was just an off day with the chef? Out pancakes were burnt black on both sides and the Brussel sprout chips were also burnt so badly we had to send them back. I’m sure we’ll give it another shot. We’ll just pick a different day than Sunday when there is perhaps a different person cooking the food.

Amazing food. My daughter had the oatmeal which she just loved. I had the tuna salad sandwich that was very tasty. Good service. The mocktails are good. Had a cheese/meat plate that they certainly don’t skimp on.

I typically love this restaurant. Every time I have been here before this visit, I have enjoyed it. This day, both the food and the service were lackluster. I had received a gift card from a coworker and decided to take an out-of-town visitor here for breakfast. Our server seemed new or perhaps not adequately trained. My tablemate asked for a coffee and I asked what kinds of tea were available. I was given 3 options and chose one, at which point she brought out an iced tea. I had meant hot tea, which I assumed would be clear based on context (breakfast, cold weather), but I suppose I should have specified - then again, she should have clarified, also. Empty/dirty dishes were left on our table until I handed them to her. As for the food, it took a LONG time to arrive with barely a few seated tables in the whole restaurant. My omelet was under-salted. My son's scrambled eggs were bland and overcooked. My visitor enjoyed her meal, so I was happy about that, but she could have just been being polite. This was my first time at The Herb Box in almost a year - not sure if it's gone downhill or if we just had a miss.
