Had dinner on Friday rvening and it was lovely. We did the dine out Vancouver 3 course dinner. Appetizers were tasty and dinner, per Keg, was delicious. Obviously early days of the Dine Out, so they have to work out kinks and were out of the cheesecake we had ordered. This was clearly the popular dessert on the menu, and the lobster bisque too (which they had to sub with french onion soup for my husband). It was the way that the restaurant responded to these minor issues that gave then a 5 star! The manager cane by (we never asked to see her or complained about anything but perhaps other patrons had?) and Taylor apologized for being out of the cheesecake. We asked, since we would be in Granville Island for the weekend, could we perhaps come back for our cheese cake the next day. She said absolutely and we were welcome to enjoy complimentary appy/drink etc too! Well we took her up in the offer, and had a nice lunch time visit with a cheesecake to finish! All the food was amazing and Paula was a great server. Thank you and kudus to Taylor and all the staff for treating us well...including the chefs, who cooked my steak perfectly. I will add,in the end, that cheesecake was sooo good too! We have been to many Keg restaurants through the years, dating back to our favourite, the original Keg in the country that had the horse riding ring. And, we have had many good experiences and the odd visit, not so good. This though was lights out great! We appreciate that one manager took the time to ask how our dinner was earlier in the evening, our server was friendly and helpful and Taylor, the General Manager, addressed issues w/o us even voicing concerns and ultimately were willing to go that extra mile to be sure we left satisfied. Thank you. We will be back!

I usually go there with friends every 3 weeks or so and the steaks are always very good. But last night my dad had a sirloin steak med rare and was tough , he is not a complainer but I can see some meat he wasn’t able to chew, but he ate most of them. My mom’s fries were cold. But they are in their 80’s and didn’t want to complain but when the manager came by and asked I told her. She was very nice and took off the 2 appetizers of the bill. She was very professional and that 1 thing I like about keg over other steak house. Of course even Granville island steak house is not as nice as the one on our alberni street it is still my favorite and I will keep going there.

The prime rib was excellent, tender and mouth watering. Highly recommend the shrimp cocktail, nicely served around the rim of the glass and a meal in itself. For a lunch item, I would recommend the shrimp cocktail along with a ceaser salad with warm bread. Initially, we were going to go to Gordon Ramsay's new restaurant at the River Rock Casino in Richmond, but couldn't get a booking the day we wanted. Then looked at the menu and the prices.....was not particular impressed with the choice of menu - beef wellington, lamb, salmon and pork belly - all over priced in my opinion. Of course, they also offered a variety of steaks. The desert menu consisted of 4 items which were not particular exciting. So glad we were unable to go to Gordon Ramsay's latest restaurant and returned to the Keg where we knew what an enjoyable meal awaited us and priced according. The menu choices, the service and item costs at the Keg are all excellent.

Ordered the rib eye but didn’t seem like a rib eye - think we might have been given the special bone in steak - otherwise a nice experience

Our experience at the Keg was really good. We had friends in town we had not seen for many years and we wanted to ensure we made a great choice for dinner. We did make the right choice for sure. The food was very good and our guests really loved being there. Thank you for making our evening so wonderful!
