Perched directly above Lake Bonavista with large glass windows overlooking the lake, The Lake House is home to one of Calgary’s finest and most creative restaurants as well as a unique setting for weddings and events.

The Lake House features Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts‘ (CRMR’s) renowned and distinctive Rocky Mountain Cuisine. This is interpreted and presented by Chef Gareth Colville. Chef Colville and his team excel at showcasing the regional flavor of Western Canada. Our locally inspired menus are complimented by a diverse wine list offering global selections authored by acclaimed sommelier Brad Royale.

Francis took excellent care of us tonight and made some great suggestions we went with. The Muscles & Fries were excellent as an appie. My wife had the Scallops which were the largest that we have seen in a long time. They were grilled perfectly and were delicious. I had the Duo of Wild Boar also cooked to perfection and were quite tasty. Very nice dessert choices so we had two of Crème Brûlée and Sticky Toffee Pudding. Always love the Atmosphere at The Lake House. See you soon from Canmore !

LUNCH: Wife liked the Salmon. I had the Striploin sandwich which was impossible to eat as a sandwich. The meat was not sliced, rather large tough pieces and impossible to chew. through.Bread was dry and the sandwich immediately fell apart on first bite. Wasn't liking the pickled Jalapenos either. Doesn't work with beef for me.Soup was fantastic. Ferme du Mont wine was excellent. Service was good and friendly. Thanks for acknowledging my wife's birthday. We'll return for Dinner someday soon. I'll probably order the Bison burger for Lunch next time.

I can honestly say this was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while, from the service to the food, they knocked it out of the park. We celebrated my husband’s birthday there and I am so happy with this choice. We will definitely be back. Great job, Lake House!

The tomato basil soup was very oily and didn’t eat it. The quinoa salad with peppers was excellent.

Soup of the day was very good. The Bison burger tasted great as usual though bun seemed a bit cold and dry. Service was great. Always like coming here.
