The beef short ribs was well cooked but bland.The Autumn salad was nonsensical being plated so the salad was squished to the side curve of the plate and leaving 95% of the plate completely empty and white. Waitress told me to mix it up but then it’s just a gross and small blob with only 4 beets! I have mentioned this at my last visit. 100% of my friends and guests made the exact same comment 1-2 months ago. Yet, no change or acknowledgement was made. Beef gnocchi was fantastic. Charcuterie was the best Living Room has made. Service needs significant improvement. A nearly $300 beef brisket was cut into 4 for 6 people. Knife and utensils were not left behind for us to cut or lift the pieces out. When I asked for a serving spoon, we were given tiny tongs large enough to lift sugar cubes. We were given then same steak knife as our setting to cut. Basically, we self-served our brisket in a big mush because we had to “saw” through the brisket that fell apart as we lifted to our plates with tiny tongs. It was a complete mess. And the waitress said the kitchen had no serving knives or utensils. This shocked all 6 of us, paying for an $800 meal. When we finished and ordered coffee, it took 15 minutes before we had to ask for dessert. Dessert was never offered to us. The crème brûlée dessert tasted like custard. Overall, it seems little care went into the preparation and presentation of our main meal and dessert. Previous feedback was not considered with the Autumn salad which means the restaurant management disregarded it or the chef refused to make a logical and popularly requested change. See other reviews. 6 ladies, 5 are moms wanted a nice evening out but left to serve ourselves a mess of a beef short rib with no serving utensils. The wine selection and choosing with the waitress was a disaster. She and missed the mark telling us the most tart wine was the least tart. It’s too embarrassing to come here again with guests.

William, Lea & Erica are always great. William was my sole server for years. We came for birthday dinner last night and some loud people came in and they offered to move us tables. It was very much appreciated. The new burrata plate was amazing and we are very impressed with their new menu. The cocktails have been my favourite for 10+ years. This is our fave place to come for an affordable, finer dining experience.

Amazing service & beautiful ambiance. I chose this place for the fondue and the pavlova dessert, but everyone in the group absolutely loved the gnocchi. Also, this is the only place I've found that actually has cocktail onions available for martinis. Our server was amazing, attentive, and charming. The only negative was that my husband found a long hair in one of his oysters. I would 100% return for my next birthday. Thanks to everyone!

It was a quiet Wednesday night at The Living Room, we sat at a nice table for two by the fire. We ordered Vitelli tonado for an appetizer, it was lovely and just enough to share. I had the lamb shank, it was excellent and very rich with mashed potatoes and gravy. It fell off the bone. My friend had salmon, also cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. We didn’t have dessert. Josh was our waiter and was perfect. We waited for nothing, he was there exactly when we needed him. Aaron was the bartender, and he was delightful!! We had their famous “shafts” a great little pick me up; we also had winter wine, like a sangria only prettier and in a martini glass. Cool place, great ambiance. Can’t wait to go back!

We had a fabulous New Year’s Eve at The Living Room. We experienced the Fondue and Bubbles option. The fondue was delish as always. Our server Leigh was fabulous and made the night super enjoyable. One of our favourite restaurants in the city. We will be back!

The Fondue meat was cold, and so was the cheese and chocolate sauce. Very subpar food quality - we visited a week previously and the experience was favorable. We will no longer recommend the location to our friends and business associates. We should not have sent both the meal and dessert back - the quality of the food and temperature of the meat should have been evident and should not have left the kitchen.

Was nice for a relaxing dinner with a friend. Very dark in there, which is okay but not my preference couldn't see my food without using my phone light. Waiter very nice and attentive without hovering. Great wine menu, food was very good but wasn't outstanding

Really loved the food - the fondue is always a standout here honestly. I think the risotto could be cooked a tad bit better ? Nothing that wrong with it but definitely a different taste and vibe from other risottos from restaurants of similar calibre (maybe it’s cause there were no mussels tonight due to shipment holiday delays). We also came on a VERY slow night so it was very quiet, which made the ambience so much better. I would definitely come again (hopefully when they have mussels for the risotto).
