Welcome to The Market Place, Asheville's culinary gem nestled in the heart of downtown! Led by Chef William Dissen, our restaurant celebrates the vibrant flavors of the region with a menu featuring locally sourced ingredients from within a 100-mile radius of Asheville. We're proud to have been named a semi-finalist for the prestigious James Beard Award for Outstanding Restaurant. Join us for dinner beginning at 5 pm where you can enjoy our delicious dishes alongside a local beer or a handmade cocktail.

Due to the unpredictable weather in the mountains, patio tables cannot be reserved.

We stay in downtown Asheville once or twice a year and somehow have never been here. That was a mistake. We had a great meal—thanks.

We loved everything about the marketplace. My husband and I had the restaurant week special. He had the steak and beet salad and cheesecake. I had the pasta French onion, soup and cheesecake. My daughter had the lamb and the cauliflower small plate. We loved every bit of our meal the beet salad was so delicious. Great smoky flavor. My daughter said the lamb was the best she ever had. And the cheesecake. Was not too sweet with a shortbread crust. We definitely will be back. The wait staff were very attentive and very helpful in answering any questions we had . This was an excellent dining experience.

We loved the service. Our server was energetic and kind. The ambiance was a bit dark and moody, but the food was fresh. We enjoyed the trout and cheesecake. Overall, it's worth visiting at least once.

Haven't been to Marketplace in many years. We went back to support our local restaurants during restaurant week. We had an outstanding experience. Our server recommended the cauliflower and the lamb shank. We also had the beet salad and the raspberry dessert. Every course was outstanding. The flavor profiles popped and were subtle and interesting. The lamb shank was the best I have ever eaten in my life and I don't even eat meat! We will definitely be going back to Marketplace and are delighted that we gave it another try! Highly recommended!

Everything was great. Filet from pre-fix menu was delicious. Waiter was attentive and support staff as well.

Great food and service. I like the vibe of this place. You’re getting a high quality product but it’s unpretentious. Go if you like good food without the fuss!
