The Morgan Arms is a classy East London pub with fabulous food, fine wine and real ales. We are close to both Mile End and Bow Road Tube Stations as well as Bow Church DLR, so there is no excuse to not pay us a visit!

    Busy New Years Eve so it may be that the kitchen and staff were under additional pressure that impacted on our visit. Whilst the starters were lovely the mains were really not up to much - the steak was sinewy, the fish batter was soggy and the chips were really dry. Well presesented but didn't live up to expectations. We waited almost half an hour for drinks at one point - and felt that the table waiting staff were not particularly attentive. However, as stated it was NYE and busy.

    Anne, thank you for the honest feedback. While we were very busy this New Year's Eve, we are disappointed to hear the food did not meet expectations.     service was v. slow half the items on the menu were not available not good value food nothing to write home about

    Lovely pub in pretty location. Waitress very friendly but the service was slow, we waited 45 min for our food to be served and several food items listed on the menu were unavailable making the choices very limited.

    Disappointed that three of the main options were unavailable from a short menu. Fisher sandwich was overcooked and dry lacking tartare sauce. Great atmosphere just a shame about the menu.

    Very helpful and friendly staff made for a great welcome to the pub on a busy Sunday. The food may have taken a little longer than expected but it was very busy and happy to say it was worth the wait. Great roasts and good Guinness! Would happily return and recommend to others wanting a friendly, well run pub for a Sunday lunch

    Beautiful atmosphere and excellent service. The food was delicious! They were extremely knowledgeable about allergens and really lovely experience overall!
