Tucked away in the heart of West Hollywood, The Nice Guy is an intimate restaurant and lounge, complete with world-class culinary offerings. A step above a restaurant, but not quite a club, the venue is a cozy, reservations-only destination for h.wood friends and family. Its aesthetic evokes the decadent lore of mafia bars and restaurants, where the owners and their friends could enjoy an evening together. Whether grabbing an early dinner or mingling into the early morning hours, the space cultivates a feeling of camaraderie among its clientele, which keeps guests coming back night after night.

                                                                                                                                    The venue and space is nice. I like the environment and the live music they had. I also really loved our server Alicia who was so helpful and kind. I would say this place is expensive and the quality of the food doesn’t match the price points. The food was good but overly done and salty. I wanted the experience and mainly food quality to be better but was disappointed. I don’t see myself going back.

                                                                                                                                    We had a reservation at 6pm. We were one of the first people there. They sat us at a tiny little table, and when I asked to be moved to to the larger table with a sofa they said no. Just for them to seat 2 more tables of parties 2 in the seats I had asked for. I had also put on the reservation it was my girlfriends birthday which couldnt even get us a better seat when we were there first. It felt discriminatory the way we couldnt get the seats we asked for when there was no reason we shouldnt have as they were in the same section.

                                                                                                                                    I absolutely love this place. If you’ve been, you know. If you haven’t, imagine a glamorous speakeasy with no windows and soft lighting. The food is great. The chicken parm is a must. And the cocktails are amazing.

                                                                                                                                    Our RSVP was for 11pm. We had to flag the waiter down to order dinner at 11:15pm. Dinner arrived nice and hot. The drinks were severely underwhelming. I had the Shake Down and my friend had the Champagne Poppy. One should always be able to taste the liquor in the beverage. The liquor shouldn’t be overwhelming or underwhelming. I flagged down the busboys several times for various needs such as lemons, Parmesan cheese, straws, dessert menu and check. Our waiter wasn’t present. Employees walked in and out of the bar exit which kept us cold. Upon trying to order dessert we were informed the kitchen closed at 11pm. Our waiter didn’t inform us of this when we flagged him down. Please update Opentable. Customers shouldn’t be able to make RSVPs when the kitchen is closed, unless notified bar only. This was not an enjoyable experience at all. Please do better for yourself as a business, but also for your customers. We deserve better.
