   Usually love this restaurant and my family frequently visits but last encounter server was absent and inattentive. Only saw her 2x for entire meal. Wanted to order more cocktails but didn’t. Not the usual experience. Very disappointed.

   We had a reservation for 8 we got there and the hosts said that are table inside would be delayed til how an unknown time and if we want we could sit outside

   Fantastic experience once again! All of the Optimist team showed well! Tyra offered suggestions from the menu which were spot on! Chef Eddie was so kind to share the octopus preparation which had changed from our fave spicy honey and it was “terrific” but still missed the other. The oysters selection was great to follow the delectable deviled eggs! The she crab soup with shrimp toast was superb and wood roasted oysters were tasty before the great presentation and taste of the full NC flounder and striped bass with a side of asparagus with browned caper sauce - yummy! The roasted green garlic on the striped bass could have been eaten from a bowl - incredible! Chef Eddie shared an ice cream delight with GA strawberries and dark chocolate - was a treat for sure! The chocolate dessert with caramel ice cream was delicious and we left full but so happy to have been back at the Optimist experience again! Thank you for a wonderful evening!

   Our server was exceptional and made excellent recommendations. The Optimist will continue to be one of my favorite restaurants.

   A great place with lots of ambience but not stuffy. The rolls to start were the best part of the meal.

    Gorgeous restaurant as soon as you walk in! Your greeted with a warm welcome and we had beautiful spot near the bar to view the restaurant I was wondering if the noise level wasn’t that bad since the ceilings were so high, I’m becoming more sensitive to that as I get older. I don’t want to yell while I’m eating. Service was excellent from Tristan-he was attentive professional and kept a nice pace, then even had a kid menu! I feel like the south is very kid friendly. What we had.. Oysters-OMG the Savage Blondes were amazing! Bay scallops Kale salad! ❤️❤️ Halibut, the crispy skin was decent! Flank steak 🥩 ❤️❤️ Fantastic fun restaurant! Definitely BB!
