   Very pleasantly surprised how good this restaurant was. The Ahi Tuna and shrimp and grits appetizers were wonderful as was the chicken francaise. Waiter was attentive.

   Very charming, lively atmosphere, great service. Prices were for tourists though…. A little too high priced for what is offered, but all in all a really good dining experience.

   So wish the shrimp and grits you had on the main menu was there again as a regular item. Chef made it better than any restaurant on the low country. Still, the rest of menu is great, service is always efficient and friendly and the wine list os solid with good pinot noir options that go well with your food. Finally, the carrot cake and strawberry cake are sublime. So fresh with that homemade feel.

   Went to the Pearl for a birthday dinner, and noted that in the reservation. Hostess asked if we were there for a birthday and that was the only acknowledgement - not sure why they ask in the first place. Was shown to a small table by the front door with a view through a divider of the service end of the bar. Special occasion seating I guess. Food was very, very good as always. Calamari appetizer was maybe the best I've ever had. Halibut was cooked perfectly, though portion was petite at best. All in all a good meal, but the service was perfunctory as best and not up to a special occasion.

   One of our favorite places. The staff is so friendly and attentive. The food is amazing.

   Excellent cocktail menu. Best fried green tomatoes in town. Delicious salad which they split for my wife and me. I never order chicken at a restaurant except for the Pearl. The chicken francaise is great. My wife had the halibut which was also terrific. Finally, the service was great.

   Our waiter Eric was terrific, the food delicious and the ambiance excellent. We were not rush, Eric let us enjoy our anniversary. Highly recommended

    Great local gem of a restaurant. We took our out of town guest from NY and they loved it! Food was delicous, we had redfish, snapper and tuna. The fried green tomatoes were out of this world. Our server, Cindy was wonderful. One of our favorite places to dine.
