The Pelican Club is a contemporary New Orleans restaurant located on historic Exchange Place in the French Quarter. Since opening the doors to the renovated 19th century Creole townhouse in 1990, chef and owner, Richard Hughes has offered a diverse menu based in south Louisiana tradition with French, Italian, and Asian influences reflecting the rich culinary culture of the city.

    Menù alla carta oppure componibile oppure stile degustazione sulla base di due portate più dolce. Prese capesante, ostriche al forno, filetto mignon e piatto aragosta capesante gamberi. Tutto apprezzabile. Aragosta perfetta, in stile vagamente francese con salsa comunque delicata. Fuori molto carino, dentro fatevi mettere nella prima saletta che ha un’atmosfera migliore. Carta vini 6/10 con rappresentanza italiana migliorabile, più che come etichetta, come tipologia. Togliete un prosecco e mettete un Franciacorta o un Trento classico. Prezzo leggermente sopra la media ma dopotutto ci sta.

    Service was fine barring lack of wine knowledge. Food was sub par. Feel free to show up in jeans and hoodie. Fine enough overall.

    Service and food - fantastic! There was a bit of table shuffling on our part - I’ll never understand why some restaurants want to seat you on top of other people - although it could be a way to make new friends - but then the bench seat was needing a booster cause it sunk down - so after our third table in five minutes - it was an absolutely lovely experience! Our waiter was super helpful and attentive. And such a lovely setting to enjoy a delicious meal. Thank you!!

    We really enjoyed this restaurant for Valentine’s Day. They had many selections. We would definitely eat here again. Everything was fabulous.

    The valentines dinner was great. We had a great server named Jeremy. Every table was taken but Jeremy was always there at the right time when we needed anything, and he was great at having conversation. If you get the chance ask for him! We were only suppose to have the table for an hour and a half, but we ended up staying two hours without realizing it. Im surprised that happened on Valentine’s Day with how crowded it was, but I guarantee he had part to play in that. Thank you Jeremy!

    The escargots for appetizers were AMAZING! Wine list is 5 stars. Main courses were good , but when compared with the appetizers, the main course was not on that level . Our server was amazing , answer every menu question and was super friendly. Space is well decorated and beautiful . Would highly recommend, we will be coming back .

    My husband and I enjoyed a very lovely dinner. The Gumbo was the best I’ve ever eaten and the Specialty Paneed fish with lump crab and sauce on top was succulent and tasty.

    Probably my favorite restaurant in New Orleans. Excellent food very good service nice selection of drinks and lovely ambience
