Delicuous food and excellent service. Potato skin platter is generous enough for several people. Steaks were perfectly cooked as ordered.

We always have an excellent experience at The Prime Rib. The food is always wonderful and service from Bobby (we request him) is beyond compare. This visit was crowded so it was a little noisier than usual but that is the guests, not the fault of the restaurant.

Jimbo was our waiter-he was fabulous and fun. The food was outstanding! Loved the lobster with crab imperial and the Prime Rib was awesome!

The last time I came to the restaurant, about 8 years ago, I was struck by the elegant interiors and the excellent food. It was disappointing to return now. The service was fine but far from attentive. For $19, the small wedge salad included a quarter of an iceberg lettuce with a a few small pieces of blue cheese and a couple of halved cherry tomatoes. My $71 NY strip was small and bland but cooked to the correct temperature. It came with fresh shaved horseradish and a head of roasted garlic that was charred and dry in the center but still raw on the outside. My guest had a $73 piece of prime rib that was the only item whose price was justified(maybe) given its size. Finally, a piece of apple pie a la mode was $26! When going to a steakhouse, one expects to spend money. I don’t mind paying $350 for a great meal with superb service. This experience, however, was disappointing. Having said that, the restaurant was full suggesting that people still enjoy the experience.

Fish, veal, and prime rib were delicious. Oyster apps were great as well. Drinks on point. We enjoyed the entire experience.

Moderate noise level only because the had a live jazz band. We are from Norfolk VA—honestly one of the best steakhouses we’ve eaten at. Had an ice cream sundae for desert!

We had an amazing date night at The Prime Rib. The food was good but the ambiance is why you go. Our server, Bob, was wonderful. Charming, personable, and down to earth. Nothing about this place has changed and sometimes, that’s a good thing.

For a restaurant that pretty much does one thing, and they have been in business for more 50 years, it wasn't anything spectacular. I knew what I was getting into when I made the reservation, so there were no surprises about the price or what was on the menu. I ordered the escargot appetizer and had to send it back. The parsley was burnt, there was no more butter left in the shells, and the snails were mushy. They remade the order, but this time, it didn't spend enough time in the broiler and the butter had barely melted and snails were lukewarm. The cook on the meat was good. My mother-in-law ordered the 8 ounce filet and it looked on the small side. Of course, you can't bring a scale to the restaurant, but I would be surprised if it was an 8 ounce cut. The mushrooms were lukewarm. Again, you make the same sides numerous times a night. Why aren't they perfect? Our service was good, but not to the aplomb this establishment makes itself out to be. Our server didn't mention one of the appetizer specials that I heard another waiter explain to his table, but yet that same waiter didn't tell his table about the halibut special our waiter told us about. I spoke with one of the managers about a wine selection and his knowledge of the wines was disappointing. They should have someone there who can recommend a bottle within a certain price point who knows what they are talking about. Our wine was Ok, but we weren't thrilled with it. I don't think we'll be returning to The Prime Rib as we went there to celebrate my mother-in-law's birthday and there is nothing there I really need to go back for.
