Sun Valley’s original restaurant, The Ram has been warming and welcoming diners since 1937. This rustic-yet-elegant dinner house has been recently modernized, while still preserving its historic charm. Pianist Larry Harshbarger brings a classic ambiance to the room with gentle melodies played on our resident baby grand piano. Travel back in time with the nightly “Heritage Menu”—a series of historic dishes such as pork tenderloin schnitzel, Hungarian goulash, and the famous Ram fondue—resurrected from the restaurant’s long and storied culinary tradition.

A credit card is required to hold your reservation. Should your plans change, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance. Last minute cancellations and no shows may be charged $25 per person.

Holiday reservations are not available online, but can be made by calling our guest center at 208.622.2800.

                                                Service was outstanding as always. The food was good and consistent. Very dated restaurant. An old school charm that the octogenarians love but really could stand an update.

                                                We always have an amazing time at the Ram! Our waiter, Evan, was incredibly professional, helpful and attentive and the food was delicious! Besides great food, service… our favorite feature is Larry the pianist who possesses not only incredible talent, but a huge heart! ❤️

                                                First time at The Ram and the fondue was absolutely amazing, but be sure you have a big appetite if sharing between 2 on the larger portion! Great atmosphere and waitstaff was very pleasant and respectful.

                                                Overall enjoyed the atmosphere however service was not the best. The food was good however my salad came not dressed in dressing. A little overpriced for what it is.
