We have been trying to get a reservation for a while and was so excited we were finally able to secure one. Unfortunately, our visit was a disappointment. The best part about our experience was the service- it was excellent from start to finish. The food on the other hand was mediocre. We ordered three apps. One was good, one was great and the third was meh. For dinner, my husband ordered the duck and loved it! I ordered the Dover sole for $70 and it was tasteless. Supposed to have charred broccoli and was steamed instead. I let our waiter know and he was so kind. He returned to tell me that the kitchen agreed with me. I got the fresh crab over slaw app to replace my fish and again it was just okay…nothing special. Didn’t want to send it back so I told our waiter it was better. I think the hype of the place and our eagerness to go made it disappointing that the food did not meet our expectations.

By far, the best restaurant in New Jersey. Incredible experience serving a gourmet meal that just can’t be beat.

The Saddle River Inn is amazing. It never disappoints. The food is beyond spectacular and the service is incredible. We had the nicest wait staff who were unbelievably attentive.

Everyone was amazing! From Matthew to Liz to Ty, and everyone else. The staff are courteous and work as a team, it was lovely

This restaurant offers a delightful dining experience with a warm, inviting, and cozy barn-like ambiance. The consistently amazing food never disappoints, and the impeccable service elevates the entire experience. On this occasion, we were seated upstairs, which proved to be a more tranquil and intimate setting compared to the bustling main dining room. Highly recommended.

We have been going to Saddle River Inn for a couple of years now on special occasions and not once has the quality, taste, service, and ambiance ever failed. It has always been excellent. It has become a place where my wife and I can unwind and enjoy ourselves. The servers Yves and Tai take it over the top with their outstanding service, suggestions, and conversation. In my humble opinion, you will find it hard to find anything wrong with the food on the menu. Take your significant other there with a bottle of white or red or both.....you will not regret it.
