The Standard at The Smith House may very well be the best example of local Nashville flavor and service. The Standard Restaurant has been in operation since 2006 serving upscale Southern specialties complete with a full-service bar. Our townhouse was built in the 1840's and we are honored to be the current stewards of this fascinating work of architecture. We are located in the heart of Downtown Nashville, just blocks from the new Music City Convention Center and the famous Lower Broadway entertainment district. We are proud to offer some of the best steaks in town as well as fresh seafood and other items.

Our beautiful courtyard bar area is available with a dinner reservation for drinks before or after dinner.

                                                              First time visiting the Standard, good chance we will go again. The parking was convenient and made it very easy to get in and out of the restaurant and when downtown that is important. The food was great, service was great, and I do think it was a little pricey for the appetizers and desserts which seems to be the norm now for most better restaurants. The waiter and his assistant did a good job and did not rush us to finish, and we enjoyed that. If you haven't been i think its a must see place. Try it.

                                                              We loved our time at the Standard! We got to our reservation early & had a few drinks at the bar before. The vibes were cool and cozy! Service and food was amazing! Will definitely be spending more date nights here!

                                                              Beautiful historical home. After dinner we went to the bar area which I highly recommend. Gorgeous ambience. The sea bass, creamed corn and the chocolate mousse are to die for!

                                                              The Standard at the Smith House was fantastic. The ambiance and rich history of this 200 year old house is amazing. Complimented by a great menu and excellent service make for a complete dining experience. Don’t forget to visit the Bourbon room with the largest collection of Makers Mark outside of Kentucky.

                                                              What a fabulous experience! The atmosphere, food, and our waiter were next level. It was one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. Alan was outstanding offering history, recommendations, and just was a pleasure. Highly recommend for a special occasion or just because! Loved it!

                                                              The creamed corn side is a must!! We had the filet mignon and sea bass and both were excellent. Loved the bread pudding dessert with butterscotch and whiskey topping. Beautiful location and amazing service

                                                              We enjoyed another great dining experience at the Standard. The sea bass and the signature filet dishes were amazingly good. Service was excellent. It was a little chilly in the first room we sat in, but our waiter was nice enough to move us to a different table. Will be back!

                                                              Absolutely delicious food. Service was fantastic. The lamb chops were grilled to perfection. The Creamed corn and the Fried Green Tomatoes were the highlight! Absolutely must go.
