   Fine dining in a historic antebellum mansion, on the edge of greatness. The Lobster Dip is some of the best we've had. Benton's Pasta Carbonara and the Norwegian Salmon are both large portions, the salmon done to order, nut the porcini in the Carbonara was tough and the shrimp was tails on. There is a good wine list and full bar. Service was not quite full service, but was prompt. Seating is more than comfortable, in a quiet room.

   The markup on the wine is just outrageous. With the price of everything else you should offer it at a more reasonable price. I guess as long as you dont charge an exorbitant cork fee that is what I will do on our next visit.

   We had a wonderful dining experience at the Standard. We were seated in the bar area which we love and LANE was an excellent knowledgeable server. The sea bass was outstanding. You cannot ask for a better place to dine in Nashville which also happens to be right around the corner from the new venue The Pinnacle!

   We were seated promptly upon arrival. Greeted immediately and offered 3 types of water. Our server was very pleasant and knowledgeable. We ordered her recommendations and thoroughly enjoyed our appetisers, dinner and dessert. The timing of the serving of each course was perfect and our needs were always anticipated. For us, it is a special occasion destination and look forward to returning to The Standard.
