   Really enjoyed our time at The Star Inn the City. The waitress was extremely helpful and very friendly. The food was delicious and the setting was great.

   Very pleased. Thank you. Relaxed and able to enjoy. We were not pushed at any time and probably the best lunchtime experience I have had there. Cheers

   Really lovely breakfast, excellent value for money. Staff were very welcoming and attentive, we will definitely be back.

   The Sunday menu was decidedly average. Reminded me of a carvery lunch from the 70’s. Rather disappointing given it stresses its connection to a Michelin star restaurant.

   Went for Sunday breakfast, and both had and enjoyed the full Yorkshire breakfast. Nice and hot and well cooked. We both had a pot of tea , which was disappointing in that it didn’t come with an additional pot of hot water to top it up . The pot was quite small, only got two small cups of tea out of it and at £4 + 12.5% service charge is poor value.

    This has become an annual tradition for a meet up with friends, the food, atmosphere and setting are lovely. On this occasion I just wanted to say the service was outstanding, it was warm, friendly and efficient and honestly the best I have experienced in hospitality in a very long time. It made for an all round lovely visit and we will be back.
