Join us at our signature restaurant, The Statehouse, or simply stop in to catch the sunset over Lake Mendota while enjoying a cocktail at the bar. Located at the corner of Langdon and Wisconsin, you’ll be comfortable in our inviting dining room and regaled by gorgeous views of the lake and surrounding area.                                                                     Wow. That was delicious. Our server was Luis who was very pleasant (had to flag him down a couple times but overall did a great job). Drinks were served fairly quickly (old fashions and black manhattans were tasty). Started with the bread and butter. 3 types of "toppings" on the butter and it was a fun way to start the meal with warm bread. Then we shared a caesar salad that was prepared with some crispy cheese on top and not drenched in dressing. The lobster bisque was like a miso soup meets bisque, different and good but not sure if I would get it again. I had the filet and my wife had the salmon with the skin cooked to a crisp and both were cooked beautifully. Highly recommend.

                                                                    The food here is excellent and they made sure to accommodate to my gluten sensitivity. Our server was Nick and he made sure we had an outstanding time and was very friendly! I would definitely go back.

                                                                    We had a fantastic Christmas Eve dinner at The Statehouse. Wonderful views of the lake. The prime rib was done to perfection!

                                                                    Beautiful atmosphere but service and food didn't live up to the hype. Went for brunch on a Sunday, late morning, and although the prices were reasonable the food wasn't very tasty. Our server was not real attentive, unsure if he had a lot of tables as my back was to the dining area. He was so slow at bringing our check, that we went past our two hour time limit for parking and had to pay the extra $2. Would I try this place again? Probably, but would lower my expectations.

                                                                    The Beef Wellington was to die for -- awesome! The Statehouse is a lovely location overlooking the lake, and surrounded by Christmas lights this time of year. A great place to celebrate a special event.

                                                                    Our team appreciation dinner was an awesome experience! We started out in the bar with drinks which were great. Our team ordered cheese curds and the bruschetta for appetizers followed with filets and Beef Wellington which was to everyone’s preference. There was no room for dessert. Thank you for a wonderful evening!
