Located in what was once the old train depot in Lantana, The Station House Restaurant has become one of the most renowned establishments for authentic Maine lobsters in the state of Florida. The Station House opened its doors in 1993 and since then has been a favorite of both locals and seasonal visitors for many years.

I tried this restaurant for the first time after many recommendations but my $74 2lb lobster was chewy. The waiter never was seen during our dinner or I would have commented on it. My friends were also there for the first time as well. They said their Lobters we’re fine. My wife had the 5 lobster tales and they were over cooked. When the waiter finally came he brought some extra lobster meat because he felt the one my friends had was a bit light. We had all finished at that point but I tasted that additional meat and it was delicious! I did comment at that point to the waiter and he said, “ Next time please let me know if it was not tender and the chef will make another one. That’s all fine and good but he never came and checked on us until the very end. Anyway he comped a desert for the table but I would preferred a lobster to go.

My husband and I dined there for the first time and the food was delicious! He had seared yellowfin tuna and I had lobster bisque, slightly blackened swordfish topped with shrimp. My husband said his tuna was fresh and really enjoyed it. While the shrimp topping on my swordfish was overcooked, both shrimp and swordfish were nicely seasoned and were delicious! We also had Key Lime Pie for dessert and the portion was large, mouthwatering and delicious! Our waitress was pleasant but never once returned to check on us. Perhaps she was busy and preoccupied. Overall, it was a good experience and we would dine there again and recommend it to others.

I had a wonderful dining experience at the Station House Restaurant. Our waiter, John, was exceptional—friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcomed. I started with the crab cake, which was absolutely delicious—fresh and flavorful. The lobster tails and mashed potatoes were simply amazing, cooked to perfection and full of rich, satisfying taste. To top it off, the key lime pie was the perfect ending—sweet, tangy, and creamy. Overall, a fantastic meal and excellent service—highly recommended!
