The Strand House is a sophisticated yet comfortable family-owned restaurant conceived by a small group of South Bay families out of their love for great food, wine and friends. With floor to ceiling glass windows and 180° sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean, world travelers and locals alike may come for the view, but stay for Chef Chris Park’s Coastal California Cuisine.

Our menu highlights the bounty of produce available year round in Southern California. Each week, our chefs roam the farmers market sourcing directly from the best farmers and purveyors around. The Strand House is also home to a thoughtful and carefully crafted cocktail and wine program that is sure to please each of our guests.

We are located in beautiful downtown Manhattan Beach, just steps from the famous Manhattan Beach Pier. The Strand House offers a five-star experience with the warmth and hospitality you would expect from a beach town, where each guest is treated like family.

Excellent service, delicious food, and you can't beat the view. The rolls literally melt in your mouth like a cloud. The houseamde shrimp cocktail sauce is the perfect level of spice, and the shrimp were fresh and sweet. Even the eggplant mole was exceptional, with an expert level of spices. Each staff member was responsive, engaging.and attentive. They worked together, seamlessly, to keep your drinks filled, food going, and table cleared between each course. And seating-wise, there isn't a bad seat in the house. We had a table for two on the second floor towards the bar, but it was perfect because we felt like we were on a balcony, able to see the water and people watch without feeling stuffed in a corner. The layout is truly thoughtfully arranged to maximize the anesthetics of the coast while being able to accommodate small parties as easily as parties of 20 without feeling like everyone is cramped together. While this visit was the first time, it won't be the last.

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant. We went for our anniversary and Rick was our waiter. He took really good care of us and made our night really special. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anybody that wants great food, service and atmosphere. This is how a restaurant experience should be!

Great experience at The Strand House for our Anniversary. Food, service and ambiance were amazing and they really made us feel special on our special day!

Celebrated my anniversary at The Strand House and enjoyed both the ambiance and the food. This is the first carajillo I try in a while and it’s pretty tasty. We had the baked scallops, the dover sole and the wood fire cauliflower and it was a 100/10. Can’t miss the TSH glazed donuts! Would definitely come back, Kristen’s service great!

If you want to have a quiet and/or personal conversation, go elsewhere. Food and service is very good, but noise level detracts from the overall experience.
