The View is the only AAA four-diamond fine dining restaurant in Lake Placid, and Rated #1 in NYS and Mid Atlantic States by Conde Nast Readers Choice Award, 2017. Overlooking Mirror Lake and the Adirondack High Peaks, this restaurant is renown for its commitment to food and wine, utilizing locally sourced ingredients. The concept is elegant comfort foods with an extensive wine list that has been recognized for excellence by the Wine Spectator for the past Nineteen years. The menu changes four times each year. This restaurant is the perfect special occasion destination.

The food and service were outstanding. The sommelier’s wine suggestion was fabulous. We were not rushed and were able to have a lovely evening enjoying great conversation while indulging in a truly memorable meal.

Excellent restaurant. Food was excellent, and the service was top notch. Had a wonderful dinner and enjoyed the ambiance of the restaurant very much. Prices were a little high, but not surprising considering the quality of the food , the premises and the overall experience.

The View is top notch in every way. Yes it is expensive but worth the money. It is truly a dining experience

Wonderful dining experience with a friend. Excellent service, very good food, pleasing atmosphere, pricey but to be expected. Food portions are small but substantive especially for and evening meal. Wine recommendations by waitress excellent. Nice follow up by staff after dinner with pertinent questions to address any concerns or complaints. The Mirror Lake Inn is truly a lovely place to stay. The staff throughout the complex are all eager to please and address any issues that may pop up in a most courteous and professional manner. The owners, management and general staff do an excellent job at providing a very friendly family like atmosphere. Thank you for another memorable stay.

Always a treat to dine at The View. Exceptional service without being at all pretentious in a quiet, elegant setting. Fantastic food. We’re always impressed by the chef’s choices and how he or she combines flavors. My husband proposed there, and we have celebrated two anniversaries. The View always makes celebrations festive—we received a framed photo of the evening, as well as a special dessert.

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday dinner and our server Katie B could not make it anymore special! The service was a 10/10 and the food was delicious. They even gave us a few complimentary items to try throughout our dinner and everything was fantastic. The atmosphere is very romantic and elegant and the view of the lake is incredible! They even took a photo of my boyfriend and I and made us the cutest souvenir. I would 100% recommend coming back!!

The service was excellent as well as the ambiance, the appetizers and soup were amazing, my prime beef filet was outstanding but my spouses pork and spaetzle was disappointing. The staff is friendly and could not do enough for you. I would for sure go back.
