The White Horse is gloriously situated on the marshland coastline of North Norfolk at Brancaster Staithe, a designated area of outstanding beauty.
The dining room and adjoining conservatory restaurant serves seasonal, local produce seven days a week. Shellfish when in season includes cockles, mussels and oysters from the beds at the bottom of the garden. Fish delivered to the kitchen door by the village fishermen.

We travelled from Lincolnshire today to eat at this fabulous restaurant. We last ate here 7 years ago ( should have been back earlier !). The food was delicious, service was fabulous, friendly and efficient staff. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic meal for six of us celebrating Mum's 88th birthday. The setting was just lovely- another clear day with great views over the marshes- and the food was just gorgeous! Only our second visit but we had such a lovely welcome as if we were there every week! We look forward to our next visit!

Was really looking forward to visiting the Whitehorse as had heard such good things so enthusiastically booked using Opentable stating we had a small dog. When we arrived there were a lot of bar staff having a chat and we had to wait to be noticed. We gave our name and we’re on our way to the restaurant when we got called back, told we couldn’t go because we had a dog, and then told our booking hadn’t indicated we had a dog so they had no table for us! We were directed after a wait to a table wedged underneath the TV which was showing sport and had the sound up! We were wedged next to a fireplace and another two tables. I asked to he moved but told there were no other tables available even though a table to our left was vacant for an hour of our visit. I had to ask the waiter to turn the sound down on the TV so I could hear myself think and as it was the day of the 6 nations you can just imagine how disrupted our meal was with large groups of people coming into the bay and looking above our heads at the match!! It totally ruined our experience from start to finish so we cut short our meal. Our table had not been wiped so was full of crumbs when we were allocated it. We decided not to order starters or desserts and had main each- venison sausages and mussels. The sausages were tasty but portion size was small for the price. Mussels were okay not as good as experienced elsewhere along the coast . The bread was burnt, chips were okay. Sadly due to our experience we won’t be returning or recommending this to our friends.

Excellent lunch . Good food. Great views. Good service. Thoroughly enjoyable time with friends. We will be back!

Lovely meal in the beautiful restaurant with views over the marshes We had salmon, mussels and haddock and it was all delicious

Beautiful restaurant with a great view and great food. Service was very friendly if a little slow, but the food truly made up for it. Fresh and perfectly cooked

It was our anniversary, and there was a card on our table, saying happy anniversary from the owners and staff, which was a great personal touch. The service from the staff was amazing, kind and professional. Food was exceptional, will definitely be visiting again.

Once again an fantastic evening. We visited with mum and she wasn’t disappointed Staff were attentive, food superb. Thank you all at The White Heart for a good time. So lucky to have this amazing place on our doorstep.
