We are The Wilmington - known locally as 'The Wilmo'

We’ve have had a bit of a face lift recently, not everything is new - if you’ve visited us in the past, you may remember us for having the best Sunday Roast in town. We can happily confirm that it’s back…but arguably, even better!

Head chef Jamie Cousins has taken the reigns, delivering an ever-evolving menu of globally-influenced dishes that celebrate the best of British ingredients as well as some very exciting specials. You can join us for brunch, lunch or dinner as well as that glorious Sunday Roast - come try it for yourself!

Public transit
Farringdon station is around 7-8 minutes walk away, and Angel underground station 14 minutes walk. There are a number of buses that stop very close to The Wilmington. Bus numbers 19 & 38 are the main routes offering easy access into the West End and through to Angel and East London.

posto eccellente dove abbiamo potuto degustare un ottimo sunday-roast. da segnalare che oltre a ritrovare la classica atmosfera del pub inglese, c'è un ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo

Fabulous attentive service, fabulous food. It was noisy but the fact it was busy is testimony to how good it is. Couldn't fault pre theatre dinner. The batter on the Fish n Chips was divine

The food was excellent and fairly priced. We arrived early but were seated straight away. It was very noisy but it was near Christmas and several parties were there

Please pass on our thanks to Josh for looking after us so we’ll this lunchtime. He was so welcoming and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Service like that makes a huge difference.

It was silly season but the booking we had confirmed for 6 and a dog was not available when we arrived. We squished onto a table for 4 impacting our comfort and the comfort of the diners on the table next to us. The team tried to suggest it was my fault for not saying I had a dog, which I had specifically rung to confirm the day before. No real explanation was given other than it being Christmas. Food was ok. Atmosphere was lovely. So really hope it was just as a result of them being so busy. Would love to go back and try again.

Absolutely delicious and generous roast lunch. Staff friendly and efficient in serving us. Would recommend for lunch with friends in a lively atmosphere.
