Tiburon Fine Dining has quietly become one of Utah's premier restaurants. Tiburon is located in the south end of the Salt Lake valley in an unassuming building that formerly housed a fruit stand. But don't be fooled, Tiburon serves award-winning contemporary American cuisine ranging from pan-seared Beef Tenderloin with Foie Gras and Madiera syrup to Black Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna with Honey and Soy Marinated Carrots. The Crab Cakes consistently win best in the state and the salads are raved about by the locals. But it does not end with the food, service is always top-notch. Led by a staff that has been with owners since its opening in 1999, guests always feel welcomed in the warm and friendly atmosphere. And in the Summer with it's patio dining. Tiburon is the place to dine in the South Valley.

                                    The service is impeccable. The food is normally fantastic, but it was an off night. Our steaks were rare rather than medium rare, they were very good quality, so we ate them, but we do prefer medium rare. We did not send them back. I'm sure we would have gotten medium rare if we had. The Sorbet was cantaloupe, and we did not enjoy it. The salad was good with the exception of the roast tomato. It did not compliment the sweet dressing and candied nuts; it was very bitter. We made the reservation a week in advance, and we were surprised at the terrible table we had. It was uncomfortable at best we will go back but we will ask for a better table.

                                    Year after Year, Tiburon is still an outstanding dining experience. We love coming here for those special dining events like New Years Eve or simply a special Friday night out.

                                    Everything was phenomenal: Food, service, bar, ambience, and restaurant staff. It’s a hidden secret as a fine dining restaurant. My chiropractor and dermatologist both recommended it; otherwise I likely would never have discovered it. I’m planning on going there 1 x per month going forward to enjoy the various entrees and appetizers. Truly, it’s that good. Taylor provided exceptional service from the moment I was seated to wishing me well at the conclusion of the dinner. I had the burrata and beet salad, scallops, house salad, Elk fillet (and complimentary sides), and white chocolate cheese cake. All of the food was amazing!

                                    We were celebrating our anniversary and the table was sprinkled with silk rose petals and a nice sign wishing us a Happy Anniversary. Ryan, our server, was top notch. He knew exactly what he was doing. No annoying “How’s the first bite?” check in thirty seconds after we got our food. Just solid, observant, efficient service allowing us to savor the meal unrushed. The entrees come with a delicious house salad that has some kind of mouth watering balsamic reduction dressing, delicate curly cues of cheese, candied pecans, thin slices of apple and tomato. Salad is followed by house made green apple sorbet to cleanse the palate and then the entree served with in season vegetables. I got melt in my mouth filet mignon and my husband the bison short ribs. The dessert menu is impressive. We chose the house made cinnamon ice cream that came in a martini glass with a sprig of mint and fresh berries and fruit. Overall a fabulous fine dining experience.
