My friend and I have been coming for lunch regularly for several years; often our server is Cliff, as it was today. Along with everything else that makes our experience great, Cliff is the icing on the cake; he remembers our favorites and never, ever rushes us. Thanks to all of you.

My husband and I usually come to this restaurant on Monday, but due to some scheduling problems, we went on a Sunday. The place was hoping and the ambiance was so nice. It was a cold evening but the fire place was so welcoming. Dawn, our server, was as usual, very friendly and we shared holiday stories. We didn’t need a menu; Dawn knows what we want and how we want it! She is so pleasant and very attentive. She’s like this to all the diners. The food is so good and delicious. The bread is always warm and soft, or if you get the sourdough bread, that’s warm and crusty. Their sandwiches are plenty big and the French fries are cooked perfectly and crispy. This restaurant never fails. The desserts are amazing as well. Just make sure you leave room for it. Or take it home. Enjoy your meal and say hi to Dawn when you go.

We always enjoy Clyde's. Service is good, food is also good. But as an adult diner, I want to sit in an area where I can enjoy the evening without being seated next a large party or small children. It is expensive to dine out and I don't think it's too much to have a comfortable quiet dining experience.

Horrible experience at Clyde’s Tower Oaks the evening of January 11. Parking was difficult as there were no spots and we had to wait for people to leave. After finally finding a spot in the far corner of the lot we realized that it was covered in black ice because the restaurant didn’t care to salt the whole lot (a definite lawsuit waiting to happen). The front hall was chaos as so many people were waiting for tables, we check in on time and are told we have to wait on the waiting list which is ludicrous given that we had a reservation. We waited 20 minutes to be seated, and are told by the staff that they are overwhelmed by the number of walk ins. Why prioritize walk ins over people with reservations?? The main hall was so uncomfortably hot and noisy. The noise level was like being in an airport terminal. Table was dirty with leftover food scraps and glasses were not clean. After waiting ANOTHER 10 minutes someone to come we finally left. No one even came to bring water. You could tell the staff was burnt out from being overwhelmed. No hospitality to even offer a free drink for the insane wait and inconvenience. With the drive, finding parking, waiting for service, we wasted an hour on this place. We ended up going to Ruth’s Chris which was a much better experience. Never again will we go to a Clyde’s and we would not recommend this place to anyone we know.

We had oysters --the only place where I eat oysters, they are fresh, from northern cold waters--, they were delicious, so was the octopus salad, and the creme brulee for dessert. Service was excellent tonight even though the place was packed. One of my favorite restaurant for sure.

Food much better than last time and very good. My scallops could have come with a vegetable as the serving size was almost appetizer portion.

The ambiance, menu choices and service were all perfect. I highly rate Clyde’s Lodge and will continue to go there regularly. If you have not been you should definitely try it out.
