    This is one of my favorite restaurants! I was there with two friends today - and they felt it was a very special experience. The food is excellent, the service just right, and the ambiance perfect for the holiday season. Thank you for always making my visits to Tower Oaks special! P

    This was probably my fourth time at the restaurant. Love the ambience today and the service was about as good as it gets today. The food is slightly high in pricing but the rustic theme and energy tied with reliably good food makes it a place your can repeatedly enjoy and rely on. I just had a burger and ceasar salad but that along with a great double IPA from a large on tap selection made it just right for lunch with a very good friend. I was seated immediately and the staff led my later arriving to me without a fuss. Parking was ample and access from the beltway was a breeze. Will be coming back.

    Great decorations and atmosphere. Food was good, a bit more expensive than the quality, as the chicken I ordered was pretty dry and flavorless. Service was good, we were promptly seated at our reservation time, and the waiter checked on us pretty often. Food was a bit slow to come out, but not terribly so.

    The table was reserved under my husbands name for myself and three friends celebrating Christmas and a birthday. The trouble started in the beginning when we were seated near the fireplace yet had cold air blowing down on us. When the waiter arrived, we commented on being chilly and he said that he was comfortable. If he was being funny, it didn’t come through! He then really rushed us to order. ( it was lunch / there was no second seating) he came back every few minutes. When we did order and the meals arrived, only three of ours came. When I finally got his attention and asked for the fourth meal and some bread, he said , “ While I’m back in the kitchen. Is there something else I should bring?” It was weird. He was not apologetic for the fact that my friend’s meal, which was just a bowl of soup, had been forgotten. It took a while for him to return with the soup and only later did my friend tell us it wasn’t hot. We had coffee after lunch and were never offered refills. When I came home and told my husband about the experience, he said, “Why do you keep going back there? You always have bad service!” Which is true. When I go with my husband or my son I never have service issues. It’s as if there’s something about four women dying together.

    This restaurant is a true gem in Rockville. The rustic lodge vibe is amazing and the food is excellent. Many dishes are seasonal, so if you want to try something, do so when you are there. The item may not return for months, if at all.
