This 15th Century coaching inn is situated only 100 yards from St. Albans city centre opposite the cathedral and abbey. The hotel retains plenty of history with our restaurant being the place where England declared war on Spain. The warmest welcome in St Albans! The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the food is never less than excellent and the price is amazing. I love the linen napkins and weighty cutlery, the sumptuous Tudor touches in the dining room and the wide selection of soft drinks on offer. 3 of us ate today, for less than £100. Value, luxurious touches and homey attentions to detail, what’s not to love? We’ll be back soon.

Very pleased with the food here. We were the only people in the restaurant, However, that actually worked out quite well. The service was very friendly and efficient.

Exceptional food, great value for money, lovely ambience, and friendly service as always! We love dining at the Tudors. Highly recommended!

Food was nice but we waited over an hour for food with no communication throughout as to why.

Lovely Sunday roast didn't have to wait long and the portion size was generous. Just a shame there was only ice cream or sorbet for those with gluten intolerance. Would eat there again and recommend to others.

The service was slow to begin with - maybe because it was the beginning of the evening. The food was good, I had the cod which was delicious.

Absolutely fabulous, what a beautiful place, so much history. Great service, delicious food, & at a good price. Will definitely be coming back.
