Bringing its hallmark level of quality and service to an urban location, Uchi Houston made its debut in 2012 in the former historic Felix space on Westheimer. Melding culinary innovation with an approachable vibe, the menu features items culled from both Uchi and Uchiko in Austin, along with signature seasonal items created by our Chef team. Reservations are encouraged and can be booked online up to 1 month in advance. Walk-in bar seating is available and is subject to wait times. We look forward to serving you, Kanpai!

    Looking for positive things to say about Uchi. Well, the service was very good. The restaurant environment is nothing special, a bit unfinished, and very casual to say the least. The food is average, nothing special. Small abbreviated portions, overpriced vs. what they put on the table. Spent $150 for myself and my wife. We both walked out still hungry and not sure how so after dropping $150 plus. Better options for sushi in Houston, with better quality, ambiance, location and price structure. We won’t be going back to Uchi. Below average and overpriced.

    Our experience at Uchi was top-notch, as always. Uchi never disappoints—not just with the food, but also with the atmosphere and exceptional staff. Michaela was incredibly helpful, encouraging us to try a few new items from the happy hour menu…the Saki Kiwi…very refreshing and flavorful. On a personal note, while I love visiting Uchi for the incredible food, it’s the staff, their conversations and friendship that make the experience truly special. A special shoutout to Hudson and Makayla for making our dinner extra special today. Entire staff is amazing.

    Amazing. No all you can eat here. Real sushi. We had a tasting menu and it was just great. The staff work as a team , they make sure you are well taken care of, without being over bearing. Highly recommended.

    Virginia was a fantastic host to guide us through her recommendations balanced by our preferences. Fantastic service, food, ambience - a friend from Istanbul was with me and he commented that it was the best dining experience in the world that he had had in the last five years.

    Uchi Houston never disappoints. The sushi bar is truly where the magic happens — the chefs were not only incredibly skilled but also super knowledgeable and friendly, which made the experience feel personal and engaging. Happy hour here is a steal. The prices are great, especially for the quality you’re getting. I tried a range of dishes, but the standout for me was the A5 wagyu nigiri topped with caviar — absolutely next level. Perfect balance of rich, buttery flavor and elegance. If you’re into sushi and haven’t sat at the bar at Uchi, you’re missing out. Definitely one of my go-to spots in Houston.
