   Vermillion offers very creative cooking and we had an excellent meal. Service was impeccable. However, the menu, especially for main dishes was somewhat limited and the portion sizes, especially for the main dishes were not huge or even large. Was an appetizer and a main course enough food? Most definitely. Was the steak the 14 to 16 oz you get at most restaurants? No, not even close. To be honest, it was kind of refreshing to leave the restaurant without feeling extremely stuffed. The bottom line is this is a place to go for excellent, creative cuisine, but if you’re really hungry or a big eater looking for a ton of food, you are probably at the wrong place.

   I enjoyed my time. Excellent service, very good food. Very youthful and hip, but not tragically so.

   We had the tasting menu. It was incredible. The food was delicious and really great value for the cost. Very tasty drinks

   This was my third time dining at Vermillion and the experience (as always) was excellent. Food was delicious, innovative, and came in generous portions. We loved the cozy, quiet ambiance and our server was fantastic. Will absolutely return.

   We tried the Farm Table and were absolutely delighted. All the appetizers were wonderful. the unique blending of ingredients, flavors and textures made quite the culinary experience. Even items we would never have ordered because of certain ingredients - we enjoyed all of them. We were hesitant with only one entre for the two of us. After the many appetizers, one entre was more than enough. We had the scallops - again, the blending of ingredients and flavors was perfect. We will definitely go back!

   Great spot, tasty food and cocktails. Fresh ingredients, done well with nod to local Mid-Atlantic region. We will come back

   Our party of four enjoyed excellent service from the waitstaff, and the quality of the food was high. The upstairs dining room has nice ambiance, with exposed brick walls and windows overlooking King Street. However, two of us ordered a dish featuring trumpet mushrooms. Near the end of the dish, we realized that a key component was missing. After the server checked, we were told that the chef forgot to include the component. The two of us were comped with dessert for an apology.

    My table did the tasting menu, pacing was off, and service inconsistent. For example only half of was would get our water refilled or dessert drinks were delayed until after dessert was finished. The food was decent but portions felt small for a group of 4. For example the table ordered the steak as one of the main course options, there was only enough steak for each diner to get a medallion.
