Vons Steakhouse & Oyster Bar is locally owned and has been proudly serving Edmonton the highest quality of beef and seafood available since 1988.

Featuring a premium dining room, and a premium casual lounge , with modern illuminated, marble 30 ft Bar and Sushi & oyster bar this restaurant has something for everyone.

Happy Hour from Tuesday to Friday starts at 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. We serve our full menu in both the restaurant and oyster bar areas. Our Oyster bar generally features over 10 varieties of oysters are are shucked to order right in front of you by our bar chefs. We offer 15 wines by a glass with specific attention to Pacific Rim and Canadian Wines.

Dining reservations are recommended but not required. We love spontaneous visits. The lounge, patio and oyster bar area is first come first served. ( some exceptions )

The service from our sever was good. That was the only good thing. Dirty menus, it seems like all of them had never been wiped and had smudges of food. The food was not good for the price. Bread was dry, tuna tartar was not chopped properly or seasoned, sauce on my steak was thick and gloopy, the goat cheese on my husbands steak was just a slice of goat cheese fired with a torch (burnt on top and not melted all the way through. It seems like no effort was put into the food. The worst was the cocktails and the dessert. I should have not ordered dessert after the terrible meal. We shared bananas foster which looked like banana baby food with a scoop of ice cream and covered in spray whipped cream. Again no real effort. Will not go to Von’s again.

This was our first time here. Had the best ever filet and prime rib. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to come back again!

Was very surprised how good it was. My steak was not exactly how I wanted it cooked but very tasty and appetizer was very minimal to me not worth the money bone marrow Cristini had only bone marrow in one side and just seasoning on the other but overall great place flavour was excellent. Waiter was great, for most but overwhelmed as it was Christmas party season.

My family and I came for my birthday. It was a real treat; however, I expected some dishes to be slightly larger. For example, the tuna tartar could have been bigger the scallops. The 10oz steak looked like 7oz and the mashed potatoes didn’t come with gravy. That said, the food was very good. On the other hand, our server attitude was quite poor and condescending in some way—perhaps pretentious. Overall I’d give Vons DT 7/10. Compared to The Continental in QC 2/10.

Our server Sanjay was excellent. Great meal, great experience. Quiet but it was a random Thursday and -20 out. I recommend.

The service was excellent—attentive and friendly from start to finish. The food was delicious, with every dish exceeding expectations, and the price was very reasonable. A great dining experience all around!

Went to Von’s to try it out since they moved downtown. Walked into the lounge and there was only one table occupied. Went to sit down and hostess made us come back and give our name. They don’t have a bar menu, it’s the same as the main restaurant. We were on our way to the hockey game and didn’t want a huge meal but wanted finger food. $31 for a burger? The first waiter was rude but the second one was excellent.

Date night with an entourage. Louis and the team took great care of us, with an impeccable cuisine of flavours. A late night for the boys. But, well worth it. Thanks again!
