Built in 1840, this Cape May estate is now home to the acclaimed Washington Inn and Wine Bar. The Craig Family has carefully preserved the beauty & essence of this distinctive treasure without undertaking major alterations to its original form. The Inn's welcoming facade overlooks tree-lined Washington Street in the seaside community Historic District.                                         The ceasar salad was a bit underwhelming. Leaves were a bit tough and not enough cheese in the salad. Also, the salad could have used one additional ingredient to make it complete! On the other hand, the beets with feta foam was excellent.

                                        We come to the Washington Inn all the time. Last night was a very bad experience. And it was Valentine’s Day. They changed the menu, prices went up and the dishes got smaller. My husband got the Delicata squash Dish it was actually disgusting and not edible. The quinoa in the Delicata squash was so greasy and over spiced. We don’t mind paying these prices but please have edible things on the menu.

                                        Was disappointed my steak was very good / but for that price - it came with about 2 tablespoons spoons of mash potatoes & no vegetable - also no salad offered - I would not have minded paying for a salad offered a side veg but never offered

                                        The Valentines's Day chocolate and wine bar was wonderful! The food we enjoyed at the bar afterwards was delicious, as was my dirty martini!

                                        We enjoyed celebrating my friend's birthday at the Washington Inn. The mushroom soup was amazing! We would also recommend the salmon and crab cake entrees. Our server was so thoughtful to bring sorbet with a birthday candle at the end of the meal, topping off a wonderful birthday celebration. Thank you!

                                        This is a great restaurant with a consistently sound kitchen that produces wonderful flavors and a friendly and professional staff that strives for you to have an enjoyable evening. Although it has a liquor license, the staff is great at recommending wine within your price range and we find the food prices to be lower and serving sizes larger than many of the BYOBs in town. We highly recommend the Washington Inn.
