   Want to love this restaurant but it’s so hard to. Food was OK, but you pay five star dining prices for Applebees like presentation and service. They were out of a lot of things. Won’t be back but hope they can improve service and presentation because the views are beautiful from the restaurant .

   The food was excellent. The temp on our first steak was over but the took care of that asap and it was quick and excellent.

   The waiter was very nice, however I could not understand him and he could not understand me very well which made me have to repeat myself a few times which made it an awkward situation a few times when trying to order my meal overall it was great experience this is our second time dining at Wendall’s!

   For being our first time I gotta say it is such an amazing great place to eat! Food was delicious! Definitely recommend it!

   I had slow braised bison short ribs and they were absolutely amazing! And Melissa was excellent!

   Wendell’s Steakhouse offers the finest dining experience in Ruidoso. I most recently had the quail meal, and it was perfection. My husband had the buffalo short ribs and said they were excellent. Wendell’s take on the Caesar salad is also quite good, and their wine selection is sizable. Desserts such as prickly pear baked Alaska sounded amazing, but we were too full after our delicious main courses.

    We celebrated my birthday, it was a perfect experience. We were seated immediately in a booth upon request. Kory our server is kind, professional and knowledgeable. The food is delicious and artfully presented. The tortilla soup and steaks are perfect as well as French kiss martinis and chocolate cake. Beautiful mountain scenery at 5pm provided a perfect backdrop to a perfect evening. All staff from hostess to server were outstanding and made us feel welcome.
